I made up "plays-on-words." The name of all my characters conveys a message and my Legacy / Surname is a part of it. Unfortunately, the names are a little convoluted and hardly anyone gets the names or the messages intended in them, unless I explain it to them. Oh well. I have 16 characters: 2 for each class and 1 for each advanced class.

Originally Sraona which was the randomly generated last name of my main in SWG. I moved servers last year and changed it to Sarona as it was easier for people to say.

Icarus, for like this lost soul, all try in vain ambition.

I chose "Maleficarum" It translates, roughly, to "of the witches" in Latin. Also, against the witches, in some cases.

 

I name all of my characters after Greek/Roman spirits, deities, or personifications. These have a tendency to reflect the personality of said characters. I may name a future one based on the opposite just for the hell of it.

 

For instance, my sage is "Arete Maleficarum" Arete was a daimona of virtue and valor. So, he would be translated as "Valor of the Witches" He is a very courageous and brave person who isn't afraid to charge in to protect those he cares for.

 

Thrasas(Thrasos, but name was taken): personification of insolence

Zephyriaa(Feminization of Zephyrus) : God of the West-Wind. This was just a nice name for her.

Anaideia: Daimona of ruthlessness

Sententia: Latin word for feeling. Sometimes, it used as judgement.

Legacy name: Antigone

 

Named after my monk from Guild Wars which was my man char there and because someone on the Nightmare Lands had already taken Antigone as a character name, grrrrr. I do get mistaken for a Greek a lot, but that's understandable since all my Rep characters have names from greek mythology.
