AshenK
And some people love it. I actually like the idea of playing in what looks kind of like a Pixar world. I don't really get much out of realism in games unless it's a gritty FPS, but I really loved the moving comic book style of the Walking Dead game. Oddly enough, Wildstar runs perfectly fine on my computer right out of the gate...while I still get low FPS in many zones and 16-mans in swtor. I feel like Carbine's got a lot of time to smooth out the edges there, but I don't think we'll ever see any significant improvements to the servers or client for swtor at this point. I've given up on cross server queuing or any large-scale pvp happening. The fact that they have to roll back the 16-man queuing because it was crashing the servers was a bit of a sobering moment of how inadequate their tech is. its just so clear that wildstar is running circles around tor at this point. as for all of this bs about botting and what not i have yet to run into any of it. i mean wildstar is just so ahead of everyone its not funny anymore. and the content is the way it should be hard and working with groups of players in order to get it done. tor can't even get a casino event right. chuixupu
I still have no idea why AshenK is still subscribed to swtor when he's done nothing but say how much he hates the game and how much more he likes other games better for 2 1/2 years.
ivandidi
Yeah, i never understand guys who stay subscribed just to tell us how this game is awful.I mean if you dont like this game just cancel your subcription and go play what you think is the best for you Edited June 14, 2014 by ivandidi
cymonguk
And AshenK proves he hasn't even played the game, or been on their forums... From the developers: I know you are frustrated with the current bot problem and trust me when I say I share and understand that frustration. I wanted to provide an update regarding the botting issue and assure you that we are currently attacking this problem on both the CS front and the Dev front (which I am personally a part of). CS is continuing to work their asses off to address the /ticket bot reports and they have already started dropping the ban hammer. I've read a lot of good feedback and suggestions for combatting this problem, but the reality of the situation is that there is no single "Silver Bullet" solution. Instead, this will require a "layered" approach to combat the bot scourge and steps to do so are currently being worked on. Thank you for your patience and I will continue to update you as soon as I am able to. I therefore suspect AshenK is spending more time playing SWTOR than he ever has done in WS.. cymonguk
Will they fix botting? Yeah probably, but this has been a problem since opening day, and isn't fixed yet. Last time they tried to fix it , they completely screwed up pvp, making it unplayable. Wildstar: PVP - Pugfarming, afk bots, hacks, hit detection, op healers (unkillable), PvE - welcome back to gated content, to make snowflakes feel special, as more people reach those gates the game will die, or be nerfed for casuals Wildstar has its place, it is a good MMO but I wouldn't bet on it being around as long as swtor, Star Wars could carry SWTOR, what is going to be W* focus in five years. cymonguk
One of the things SWTOR gets slated for is bolster in PvP, want to tell me how the legendary PvE gear is better than PvP gear for PvP? A 6 month old bug? So yeah I like it, but it isn't killing TOR by any means.

( especially the ones the games own developers admit ) Edited June 15, 2014 by Sangrar

First of all thank you for continued support for my game, it's appreciated. Second if WS is so wonderful, why aren't you over on their forums praising them? I mean you keep saying you hate this game but it would appear you are remaining here in some deluded notion that you are going to convince more people to leave. Well, not going to happen. Have a nice day.
chuixupu
I don't think anyone other than the trolls have suggested Wildstar is going to kill swtor...I would hope everyone has learned their lesson by now that mmos don't kill other mmos...they kill themselves. I have no doubt that Wildstar will be around for as long as swtor, though. swtor hasn't even been around that long yet.
Whojoo
I like the game even though I only played the head start so far. For financial reasons (can't pay 2 subscriptions and I love my swtor guild) I am saving my 30 day code for when I can pay double subsription. On a rp pve server since it was the only pve server I could join at the time (others were full). Wanted to start either a stalker dps or a spellslinger heal or deeps. Decided to be crazy and take the class I though I would like the least, the warrior. I really like my granok warrior with a veggie mustache But yea, I like the game and would be paying now if I had the money for it.
AelixVII
I kinda burned myself out on Wildstar already. Played a lot of the beta and was really into it. Got all my characters and classes and names sorted etc... then I finally played, did everything in the first few zones now I'm level 17 in Auroria feeling like it's just a grind. I know there's plenty to do but I just can't get back into it. Maybe I just need a break...
Vincire
I bought it on a whim which I sometimes do. Sometimes I find some of my favorite games and others the gamble doesn't pay off. For me, Wildstar is one of the later. I didn't find it particularly innovative nor did I find the combat fun and engaging. I honestly am nor seeing what others like about the game. Manweth
Tried it. Played it a bit on friends account. We are both bored of it. For me, the even more repetitive nature of a gameplay that surpasses even old school MMOs. And lack of voice acting. And story. And small cuddly races. I HATE small cuddly races. I tear them apart in pvp when I see them, and I kill them over and over when they are NPCs. Yes, I have problems. Anyways.... For my friend, it was the game in general. Boring. Overhyped. A few friends of ours made it to lvl 50. And stopped playing. Raiding with 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3 can be only so much fun, or so I'm told. Tbh, I'd guessed that would be the case from beta. Basically, Wildstar is.... Wildstar. It's just kinda there. You know it's there, but you don't particularly care.

ryniloym
/QFT You just HAVE to agree with AshenK here. Good post brother. No, I don't. I downloaded the beta, played for about 30 minutes, and decided it wasn't for me. The whole experience was just below average and I really don't see the appeal. Jandi
Played it for a day or so till I was done. What a dumb, boring game that is. I'm sure it's AWESOME if you still watch cartoon network at the age of 50, but for everyone else it's unbearable.
