it is my first time as a sith and i have 1584 afection with vette but we had a conversation only once? is that a bug

with my mercenery when i had 1700 afection with mako i had 4-5 conversations and got a mission from her

Companion conversations are triggered by affection, but also by your location in the storyline. If you aren't very far along in the story, you can't have conversations with her.

 

Also, did you take off her collar?

Yes i did, and i am on dormund kuss heading for the temple.

Does it matter if i am light or dark?

No, only that you have her affection up... But if you haven't even got to the temple yet, then you will likely have to wait for vette to give you more chance to talk to her... she won't open up to you until you get your ship, at least.

It all depends on your level, level of affection and how far you are in your story so you might want to advance in these 3 areas before you get more convos with her.
