TwieT
Why do I go from grade 1 (shadow silk) to grade 2 (lashaa silk), while missing cyrene silk (dunno the grade)? Does the fabrics depend on the planet you're on? Any help would be appretiated!
Skodan
its not level dependent, you could be level 10 and have 400 crafting. the levels listed in the drop down panels is basically a suggested level as to what gear it will be used for

You better follow your class quests and other planet missions and gether your mats at the same time. It is better to level your character and crew skills simultaneously. Of course it is not necessary. Also you can send your companions to the missions and increase your skill level while gethering your mats.
