Star Wars vs WH40K

It's already been mentioned but i'll say it again purely because I already brought Tyranids into the debate.

Thanks to canon lore in Star Wars, the force IS biological (well done on that George).

Tyranids consume all biological matter.

As soon as they consumed 1 planet in the Star Wars universe (and they would) they would then spawn force using organisms.

Or they would need just 1 Jedi/Sith to absorb the Midichlorian matter thus creating a whole new set of Tyranids based on that.

Like I keep saying, it's an endless debate. There will always be something bigger and better on both sides but in the end 40k is far more advanced in terms of war than Star Wars.

Not to mention if Chaos was actually "let loose" then all those Jedi would feel an extreme "disturbance in the force" and then be massacred to appease whichever god happened to be strolling along at the time.

Warhammer 40k would kick Star Wars ***.

You have a fleet of mass-produced star destroyers from the Star Forge?? *** Shadow of the Warp, you're bugfood noobs.

AT-AT walkers? Pfft, we have Reaver Titans, scrub.

Storm Troopers are guardsmen in carapace armor - which is good. But we have Orkz... and Tyranids... and Space Marines... and Tau... and Eldar.. good luck once you get bugged down in close combat, nubs.

All Jedi and Sith wield power weapons. But they are all also effectively Psykers - which means their fancy powers are subject to the Shadow in the Warp, Psychic Hoods, and that fun Dark Eldar guy who makes psychics brains go SPLAT. Oh and I hope you are trained to resist the influence of infinite daemon legions, otherwise. . . . CHAOS JEDI

Your Deathstar vs. my Hive Fleet

Your wookies vs. my Genestealers

Your Sith Emperor vs. Lucius the Eternal, Eldrad, Ghazgkull Thraka, Skarn. . . etc

Exactly, the force would be more like an omni-present will, like Sephiroth in the livestream or Sauron in Middle Earth, but they still aren't gods, Melkor was, Illuvitar is, Jenova and Menerva are, but the force, Sauron, Sephiroth, they are demigods, that's my point.

The Force is nothing like Sephiroth

The Force can create life(Anakin) and Melkor was unable to do so

The Force penetrates and binds all living things

there are no known boundaries in starwars when it comes to the Force. Not yet at least

The Force and The Waaagh are similar, except that The Force runs through all living things, but The Waaagh only runs through Orks, though it's effects can be used on non Orks.

Well, Jedi would have a super high movement value. Jedi on speeders even more so. Gungans would cause instant pinning tests because of people shaking their heads in dismay. That would give the Jedi time to zip over to the objectives and control them on the last turn while the Gungans pretty much caused everyone to laugh at them. Gotta give this one to the jedi. Unless it's just straight up kill points, then they're screwed.

Kidding of course.

WH40K is like starcraft, warcraft, and DBZ all had a bastard child and it was called WH40K.

You would have to throw the Marvel and DC universes at it for any real competition. Unfortunately DC and Marvel boast a pretty large group of BS characters capable of blowing up planets or the universe sooo.... bleh.

Emperor vs. Emperor would be interesting. I would take Palpatine over a dude who can't even get off the "golden throne," which we all know is just a euphemism for toilet.

The God-Emperor of Man can stop time. That pretty much says it all right there. If you read the book Draco (I think, same series anyway), you find out that the Emperor is a gestalt intelligence made up of the billions of souls of Psykers that have been sacrificed to the Golden Throne to keep him alive over the ten thousand years he's been interred into it. Next to that, Palpatine is pretty much a petulant child.

Unless that's been retconned then he's just a **** all powerful God that can do basically whatever the hell he wants, even then he makes Abeloth look like a damn kitten.

After all.

I'm actually insulted that you think Starcraft, Warcraft and DBZ are anywhere near as awesome as Warhammer 40K. Not only has it been around longer than all three of those, its also what two of them are based off of.

I am not even gonne bother reading the rest of this topic and merely going to stab you all for believing the force is biological.

Let he repeat what qui-gon-ging said:

Miniclorians are microscopic organizsme that live inside all living cell's

(anikan talking)

Thet contiues tell us the will of the force.

Yoda:

The force is all around us.

Life create's it makes it grow.

Neither claimed the force is biological.

So let me force bash it into you mind:

The miliclorians are not the force.

They are merely thing's living in cells.

And while i agree that lucas needs to stop killing his own universe.

Miliclorians are not the force.

The force is energie binding all live.

Midichlorians are the biological connection to the Force. That's canon, the more Midichlorians, the stronger the connection (at least how I understand it). That said, the Tyranid excel at taking the good parts of organic life, and leaving the bad. As soon as they encounter Midichlorians, you're going to have Force wielding Genestealers show up, and that's just six different kinds of "oh ****".

LOL Amazing point taken. Score 1 for WH40k.

I mean cmon man what star wars artillery can take out a Dreadnought? A Mars-pattern Dreadnought armed with twin-linked Lascannons (100 shots) and a Missile Launcher (8 missiles) weighs 12 tonnes or Incaladion-pattern Dreadnought armed with a twin-linked Heavy Bolter (2000 rounds) and a Missile Launcher (8 missiles) weighs 11 tonnes.

Sorry for raging i just tire of hearing people say the force IS biological.

Minicorians are just like cells part of you nothing more nothing less.

EDIT:Also force sesativetiy is rare but tyranids are indeed able to manipulate cell's.

Even so i can kick the **** out of all universe i simple turn of the game:P

Artillery =/= Ship mounted weapons systems.

To put one thing in perspective about how tough Space Marines are, they can survive being at the bottom of an ocean with sealed armor (happened to Saul Tarvitz, if I remember correctly). Now, Dreadnaughts are Space Marines that are just too damn freaking stubborn to die. Bjorn the Felhanded has been waging war for ten thousand years, and that's just since he was interred in the Dreadnaught Sarcophagus. Those bastards can take some hits.

Search Imperial Navy Warhammer 50k. Their largest ships are 5km long compared to the SSD which are 3.8km long? :p

Inaccurate on both counts. The Imperial Navy in 40K fields escort frigates of 1.6km long, that's their smallest capital ship if I remember correctly. The Executor class Super Star Destroyer is 12-16km long depending on the source.

'Salright. One thing that just occurred to me is that since the Tyranids control, litterally, every aspect of their evolution, they could technically make a life form that has as many midichlorians in it as physically possible, who's only purpose is to help the Hive Fleet subdue and consume new systems. And they can make as many as they want. How *********** scary is that?

(By the way, that Galaxy is the Milky Way, and that Japanese hentai monster is Hive Fleet Leviathan. Yes, its that big. Suck on that, Vong.)

So we all agree 40K will compleetly wipe the floor with sw(plot armor exluded)

How about we come up with something that can wipe the floor with 40K

Anything will do here i start:

God almighty himself(he is allpowerfull not even chaos stands a chance agains him)

In order to avoid religeus wars:

In case you cant accept god as aswere here are 3 things that would stomp the 40K universe to dust:

1:The Q.

2:The borg.

3:The repilicators.

Your so-called "God" is obviously Slaanesh. Oh, and by the way? The Ordo Hereticus is looking for you. Good luck!

Correct me if I'm wrong - they also said that all the Hive Fleets observed thus far are nothing more than scouts for the main Tyranid force, right?

Correct.

No one knows the size of the main Tyranid force or what it's capable of.

The 3 main hive fleets encountered so far have just been forward parties and those alone have decimated entire sectors and killed countless people and left a hell of a lot of planets in ruins.

Seeing as the hive fleets travel the warp under the sheer psyker power of the Norn Queen it's only a matter of time before something more powerful than the Hive mind comes along and they start taking apart Chaos planets as well.
