Phadian_gess
can you make money of it without crafting or using auction house? if so, good ammount? thx in advance its okay in the beginning but becomes more hit or miss in the end but i mean a grade 5 lockbox netted me this [Prototype InterroTek Zal Alloy Breastplate] which is basically this here http://www.torhead.com/item/91BDeEg but with +62 strength +54 endurance +25 shield rating +25 power and its heavy armor for a level 45 so its more geared for equipment than credits

SilverWF
mission professions where you can make money (now a little and a lot before) is Slicing only. All another - Underworld, Treasure, Diplomacy - is money loose only. And incredible way to get a lots of useless Companion gifts.

Vaslo
Here is a good spreadsheet to know what gifts to give to which pet. https://skydrive.live.com/view.aspx/.Public/Swtor%20companion%20gift%20guide%20vol%202.xlsx?cid=e77018d864cdb5c7&app=Excel I totally disagree that the gifts are useless if you follow this! ObiJinn
I am maxed in Underworld Trading and have been making around 25,000 to 100,000 creds from each wave of items I put on the AH. Usually around 3 to 4 items in stacks of 10 or so. Its easy as hell and has me lots of creds, so I am not sure why it was stated that it looses money.... Crawfishies
If you want to make money, I would probably suggest selling the lvl 6 Lorrdian Gemstones on the GTN. or any of the lower lvls, not sure which yet. some crafters are trying to learn purple schematics, and run dry on mats. My server they were selling like 4k per gemstone, which I don't buy but get my own, but I run out quick, and have to wait till my crew gets more. Or I could go on the GTN and buy them...... at the right price, :D:D
Morpholinium
If you're not going to GTN, it'll lose money no matter what type of mission you run. Most of my money from lock box missions comes from blue or better gear, and relics. I use the other mats on my artificer, though.
DiLune
Why is the exercise to not use the GTN? Seems...hokey.

I've also run some Companion Gifts and Gem missoins on him that I did not list. Plus note that's only selling to Vendor. There's some things I could have gotten more then from a vendor (Some of the Artifacts I sold on GTN, but I only list the Vendor offer in my Spreadsheet) {bleh looking in preview looks even worse then in the message box... oh well the summary is the imporant part}

ZudetGambeous
I'm sorry, in what world a LOSS is considered "not bad at all"? Because the point of the missions isn't to make money just from vendoring stuff. ViperRat
I make decent money on selling light side relics. I'm on the republic side of my server and no one but myself is a dark jedi that i can see but so far every light relic i've put on the GTN has sold. I'm currently finding which price I should sell them at cuase I keep raising the price and they keep selling. I first tried to get a couple hundred more than the mission price, but I just sold a lv 43 relic for 3000. and that's a lv 5 art mission.

You will get a REALLY big loss that way. The fact that Treasure Hunting has lockboxes as an alterntive is a nice touch. (And why I took it on one of my 'gather only' characters along with Slicing and Bioanlysis)
