Revan was a main character in the first Kotor game and kind of a big deal. All Bioware Star Wars games since then at least have some references in there. All you need to know that isn't spoilers is Revan was a Jedi then a Sith, and tried to walk kind of a grey path between the two. Revan also launched a war against the Republic, theoretically to prepare them for a much worse future war. Whether the method and philosophy was successful depends on the point of view and who's asking, though probably most would agree that a dark side influence overtook Revan in the end. To be fair, if you have not gotten all that far into the game yet, and had not played Knights of the Old Republic, then it is a fair question to ask. The wookiepedia article on Revan has all you need to know, though it also has spoilers from KoTOR and SWTOR. BradTheImpaler Posted July 8, 2013 Share Posted July 8, 2013 A traitor to the Jedi Order who joined the Sith Emperor, broke off and formed his own Empire, led the Republic to the Star Forge in a battle that nearly caused its collapse, broke the Jedi code by marrying Bastila Shan, and abandoned his wife and unborn child to launch an ill-advised search for a mask and run off on a suicide mission to try to take down an Empire on his own. This mission failed due to his lack of foresight in having accepted 'help' from the Emperor's personal bodyguard who led them into a trap. Revan was imprisoned in a special facility to keep him alive so that Revan could spill more Republic/Jedi secrets to the Emperor and ultimately wake up to wage a genocidal war on innocent civilians in the Empire.
