Pedia's 1.2 PTS Thread

So, heres the deal with PvP in the next patch from what I've seen tonight:

It doesn't matter how much dps your team has, because healers + tanks work way too well together. Just did a voidstar against a team of 2 tanks 4 healers 2 dps. Our team couldn't kill anything, and they just defended the doors and capped the doors by existing. Huttball worked much the same. Can't kill anyone, just whoever picks up the ball gets the cap. CC the pedestal when the ball spawns, and you win!

Novare Coast. 3+ healers on each team. Just sat around shooting flurry of bolts at whoever tried to cap a turret because neither team was ever going to kill anyone.

Hate everything about it,

Specially the part where you know it's already true on the current patch.

here's my problem with this whole deal.

Bioware is nerfing the least played class in the entire *********** game.

There are more sages/sorcs than there are agents/smugglers. One advanced class outnumbers an entire core class, and they decide to nerf scoundrels.

I just don't see the logic behind it. If bioware has a thought process behind this nerf, it's almost definitely linked directly to their wallets.

+ a million internets for you.

Geez. Just go to the site and look for it. I found it in under a minute. Lazy, that's what you are.

It took more effort to write that sentence and start this impending argument than it would have to just link the page and have it be done with.

He may be lazy, but at least he isn't stupid.

I could not find it either and would greatly appreciate a link. These stats are being passed around the forums like a "left-handed" cigarette and could lead to faulty-metric interpretation by the Dev Team.

I am assuming the forums are where they get their information. ;)

His arse.

I lol'd hard when I saw that post say Operatives/Scoundrels put out more DPS than everyone but Sents.

I agree, hence his attitude when I originally asked for the link. Apparently you all are lazy too...

Ah I see the problem!

They forgot to add a decimal before the '0' for scoundrel/ops.

Concealment/scrapper DPS on a target dummy is a non factor anyway. The reason this spec is not suited for PvE is the down time on actual boss fights. That's why I'm looking for numbers for lethality/dirty fighting.

Actually, these numbers are what I expected from your two parses. You both get about the same DPS but if you look closely there is a huge difference.

The second log average damage on every ability is about 20-25% better than on the first one (PvE gear vs PvP gear mainly). That means the first log has a ton more effective rotation (but miss the orbital strike/freighter) and the second one has the gear. If you combine both of them you should reach 1400-1450.

I would still like to find the source of these numbers though :s

Pedia I'm sure this has been asked but I don't have time to scroll through 17 pages, how would you rate your warzone performence on the pts, how has your damage looked?

Doesn't really matter how much damage you pump out. Game is all about tanks and healers. =(
