Musezy
PLEASE remove the █████NEON█GREEN█LASER█BEAM█OF█DEATH█"KILL-ME-NOW"█BECAUSE█I'M█A█HEALER█SIGN█████► from Hammer Shot. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in PvP (as a healer that has played almost every MMO game on the market). As if healers don't already have enough trouble keeping a low profile, HS simply makes you stick out like a sore thumb! Now in 1.2 we will HAVE to use our Hammer Shot a LOT more often and thus become immediate targets. WHY on earth would the devs do something like this to a PvP healer in the first place? This is incredibly BAD design. In PvE, who cares? Mobs don't zero in on you because you have a flashy laser beam heal... but in PvP ANYONE with half a brain is going to charge you the second they see that thing go zipping across their screen. Fortunately, so far, we have been able to avoid using it in PvP for the most part. However, this will not be the case moving forward with 1.2. Tell BW to remove this crippling VISUAL effect from HAMMER SHOT in PvP today! Edited April 20, 2012 by Musezy
Aritok
This thread and your sig dont fit together. Basicly you accept the changes with 1.2 with this one. I can only say, if these changes are going live, they do it without me. Changing the green laser beam does not help at all to these healing killing changes. Musezy
My signature has been updated, which I could not do until I made the post. And, though I do agree with you that the healing changes are BAD... I think if they removed the visual effect from HS, that it may help alleviate some of the nerf pain. My biggest concern is the fact that we will have a harder time managing ammo after 1.2 so HS will become more important and relied on... which makes it more vital than ever that they fix the laser beam issue in PvP. Achromatis
Personally, I really love the green laser beam in PvP. ...but thats because I dont play a healing Commando
Musezy
Yeah, I bet you do. And what other healing class has this kind of visual target marker? Heck, when it comes to Combat Medics, the opposing Ops Leader doesn't even have to bother marking us at all. We do a great job of that all by ourselves. Comieb
Agreed Green beam of shoot my face is real bad. This is not TF2 or Global Agenda, they are FPS games that the beam helps a little bit on. SW:ToR tis bad. And yes the 1.2 changes are a bit much but ill take my victories where i can get them.

RichardNoggin
Its like BW punishes healers. Not only do we get marked and trained right away our abilities give enemies a straight line right to where you are.
ImariKurumi
Its like BW punishes healers. We're gonna be the most, best Free Frag class in PvP and Pve.
GhostDrone
Hell no, i love the green beam! Always reminds me Medic from TF2. PVP-wise; Healers get focused either way. Green beam or not, people are going to notice your insanely obvious green probe and kolto bombs. It's just the way healers are. It's not really that hard to see who's healing. Green beam has nothing to do with it.
CAMELOTCRUSADE
Just make it a toggle. Makes sense what you're saying for PvP. In PvE, I love my beam and think it's a defining feature. It's hard to stand out in this game, and in x4s and groups with my friends I like to be showy.
Musezy
I appreciate and respect your desire to be showy. Heck, when I PvE (though admittedly not often) I kind of like the flashy green laser-beam too. Which is why I only want it changed for PvP. But your idea of a toggle would be nice too. Loryk
/Signed Even though I don't play healer I have support cell on in PVP (I usually need to help out) and get ganked everytime.
Wolvan
/signed. I got away without using it in pvp so far. In 1.2 I will no longer have that that luxury. I get focussed enough as it is without giving every dps in a 5 mile radius a guiding light to the healer.
SpaniardInfinity
Option 1: Make it an actual mirror of the Bounty Hunter equivalent (definition of "mirror") Option 2: Make the beam invisible to enemies while still visibile to friendlies (probably more effort than its worth, but I do love that heal laser) After that, I'd optionally love to have my color crystal change the color of Hammershot. But that's a want, not a need. Making Hammershot less of a liability first is a need. Edited April 9, 2012 by SpaniardInfinity
Hyfy
I think the best option with this one is to keep the green color but do it like the Mercs is done with a short volley of small bursts. It still says "hey I'm healing you" but doesn't light you up like the "this is the gangs hideout" signs with the arrow pointing at it from the cartoons. Well at least with the green tink tink tink, there is a chance it could just be a green crystal. But even still it's much less visable then the current continuous beam. Green beam has nothing to do with it. Yeah, I agree with this. Healers aren't that hard to pick out in PvP. Good players will find you easily even without the green beam. Play enough PvP and other frequent PVP-ers will eventually pick you out just by your name. I've found that commandos are generally priority targets anyway. If we're DPS we're considered easy kills if we can be separated from the herd and combat medics are self-explanatory. The assault cannon by itself acts as a "kill me" flag. deags
Doubt it really matters in a organised team(not necessarily pre-made just any team with half a brain) healers will be marked up quick and for the rest of the match the green beam won't matter as you have a giant flame, gun etc.. on your head.
