Honestly, I guess the german speaking part of the community is so small by now that we can feel lucky the new content still gets localized...

Lucky ? Don't you pay ? Aren't your €uros real ?

BTW there is a patch downloading now.

what's the problem exactly? to make issue so long? don't say it's again a conquest problem damn it..each patch it's conquest thing...

This is complicated to answer but once we get everything resolved and the game live again we will make sure to explain what happened. Rest assured, it has nothing to do with Conquests.

Don´t underrestimate the German section. I´ve been on T3 for years and it´s still the 2nd most populated european server, olny speaking german (and english in groups)

I am in the US and talk on T3 in English in general. Sometimes people saw some raw things to me but other times they answer. In English. And actually reply to what was said rather than just trash me.

I so can't believe you missed that reference.......

Luke did not say "Erm, no?"

Oh dear me. I lost a lot of geek points there, didn't I? I plead: It's 2300 and I've been up since 0400 and my caffeine levels are sub-basement. I'm only still up cos there's heavy electric storms passing through with high winds and I don't want to die being squarshed by that huge tree just the other side of my wall.

And I'm rambling.

Eric,

it does make me laugh that the talk of compensation to players because of this downtime might offend you, but if you want to keep your player base happy well you might just want to consider it, I play world of tanks a bit and not long ago they had an issue with their in game chat and while trying to fix it a lot of people had their friends list deleted, the game still worked people could still play but the team who runs world of tanks thought that it is in their best interest to keep their player base happy and gave everyone compensation anyway, in the form of a few day premium, xp consumables and other consumables things they can use to progress in their game (not pets or codes for a few lucky people) I mean if you want to keep people playing your game you have to work at getting people to stay loyal which means if problems like this happen give back to the player base. maybe people would stick by you instead of hating on you all the time when things like this happen, it's not as if cost you money or anything giving back to players.

So if the tree knows you're awake it won't fall on you because it knows you'll give the royal what-for, right?

I live in B-W, right down near the Swiss border. And yes, there's beer. Oh aye but this area is more about wine. I really could do with a huge, corn-fed steak and a bag of Cheetos though.

I was a Sailor, meter of beer sounded like a good idea. It may have been the first few times, the last several, not so much. Though I also enjoy a nice Reisling and the occasional Eiswine when I can find one.

I'm retired (mid-sixties) and I'm still not fussed over the loss of a day of gaming. There are far worse things to be concerned about. Is it annoying? Oh hell yes but not to the level some folks here are taking it.

You may be retired and have a lot of spare time. That still doesn't entitle you to decide what level is or is not acceptable for someone else. Some of us here work very long hours in stressfuly jobs, inclusding weekends, so free time has to be planned.

Anyway, I'm not ticked off about the downtime, except that I consider it shameful on a professional level. I'm insulted by the codes and the attitude they were given out in. I couldn't care less about the coins, but if you toss out five codes for something that cannot be bought ingame in any way and watch people screamble for it, taht#s not acting nice, that's simply a slap in the face for the majority of people here. You of course are free to see that differently.

I just want to know which coder decided it was a good idea to "fix" something, and then turned in some broken code that got compiled into this patch. And then I want him flogged in public.

Hey, Eric!

First, let me start off by saying that you are doing a great job!

Next...(Half joking/half serious)...I live i Bioware City, USA (those that know the reference, know where I live). Any job openings for someone entry level with no degree? Would it help if I was a contract worker for GSF?

No, I can see the bugger and if it starts bending too far, I can move my arse to the other side of the house. :p But I actually like your take better. I could see me out there, dead of night raising hell with a 60 foot pine tree.

This... To lean on my Navy lore a bit. "Make him kiss the gunner's daughter"! Then, after the flogging we can have him/her keelhauled...

Come on down to B-W then. It's a lovely area to visit, lots of good wine and food, if you're into German cuisine. Autumn is best and don't go to the big cities for Oktoberfest, the smaller towns and villages do it muuuuch better without all the commercialisation.

As much as I feel like the situation should never have come up, and if the required testing had been done it wouldn't have, I'm glad that the team is actually working diligently to sort the stuff out, and am prepared to wait patiently for it to be fixed, because there's nothing else I can do about it.

I'm just glad that we have Mr Musco keeping us updated as to what's going on as soon as he knows anything, because the information, despite not being able to give us anything concrete, is also a great deal more beneficial than being left in a void.
