The new decorations from the Casino event are all bound to legacy and have no "Donate to guild" button, which means it is impossible to use them for guild flagships or guild strongholds.

 

This affects:

• Dynamic Underworld Ceiling Light (Blue)
  
• Dynamic Underworld Ceiling Light (Red)
  
• Dynamic Underworld Ceiling Light (Yellow)
  
• Gambler's Bar
  
• Gambler's Mic Stand
  
• Gambler's Party Floor

Just posting here to confirm. Would be nice if this could be corrected. There's some great decorations added, but not being able to use them for guilds makes them- for me and most of my friends- pretty useless sadly.

Thanks, Eric! The issue here would seem to be the same as with the Crystal Vendor decos (all of the Rakata themed ones). In both cases, these decos are Bind to Legacy and do not have the option to donate to guild. That's been called out before in other forum posts, but with the addition of more BoL decos it's definitely worth bringing up again - so if you're passing this on to the team please include all the BoL decos in the discussion. These new Nightlife decos especially are some really fantastic decos (so super thanks to the team for designing them and adding them to the event), and it would be tragic to never be able to donate them to your guild! I already want this dance floor in the guildship cantina!!!!!

 

Also, while you're at it, if you guys aren't already planning to include the rest of the stage/music decos to go along with the mic stand, please do!! Scattering the various deco pieces of a full ensemble set around various events/vendors/rewards would be a great way to get deco obsessives like myself to hit up a bunch of content again.

 

And finally... there are some dances that can be triggered by the Gambler's Party Floor that have not actually been released as emotes yet. These would be great to have as emotes too, someday. Just saying.

Yes the decos are awesome and i would LOVE to unlock em for my Guild flagship we have a bar and it would fit perfectly for it

Glad to see there already was a post about my biggest peeve with this Nighlife-event. Guild decorating gets too little attention when it comes to newly added decos. It's not only these disco decos but older decos too that arent unlockable for guilds. For example Ambassador Jirrik and Ambassador Ky’lee (which once was available to donate/unlock, I have seen guilds have them on their ship) are not available to unlock for guilds. I mean I bought them only to have them on our flagship, but had to use it for myself. I'm never on my own strongholds.

 

Keith, you've greatly improved the game since you started, could you also please make the team change decorations so theyre unlockable for guilds, one way or another? Hoping for a miracle here!

Yes, please please please let us donate the decos to our guilds! We're prepping big time for the upcoming stronghold, and I'd love to have the new decos in it!

I know this don't fit in in this thread but I saw Eric answering her so her is my big please, please give us about 200 more flagship hooks I beg you Bioware. I am from the T3-M4 Server and one of the leaders at Mighty Darks and I created one of the best looking flagships In the SWTOR universe, but for example the bridge still looks very empty I have a lot of cool ideas but no hooks . If you Wanne understand me please visit the Pandemonium on T3-M4.

 

Edit: or make something where people can buy some hooks for those who need more.

Will there be any info or follow-up as to whether Bind to Legacy was intended or unintentional for these decors? Or a general ETA as to if/when it may be changed?

 

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to spend my certificates on stuff like outfits/mounts for me, when I would've rather gotten some decor to donate to my guild. If I can't do that, I'll just burn 'em on lower-priority stuff that I didn't really want.

I am sure the community team can confirm or deny, but it looks like these items are legacy bound. This may or may not help, but you can claim them in your decorations and donate them, through the decorations preview window (ctl-lft click any decoration in your inventory) to your guild with credits. I tested this earlier with the floor plates and the female rodian patron.

This worked perfectly! I added the Gambler's Bar this way. I didn't even know this was something we could do as far as donating items to the guild, so I'm really glad I learned about this! Thanks! (Some things from other events can't be donated with credits in this way, sadly, like the artwork from the Anniversary.)
