Zaknaffien
BW - This is getting ridiculous. Why not TALK to the community and tell us what the heck is going on with the MAJOR issues that people are constantly informing you guys about. There a more than a handful of posts that you continually ignore. Let's go down the list of biggest customer complaints/issues shall we: 1 - FIX YOUR CREDIT CARD SYSTEM. One too many folks are having issues trying to buy coins. Having to call customer service to "try" and fix the issue does no good most of the time. Put out actual CM game cards folks can purchase at Gamestop/Best Buy/Target/WalMart...whatever store. Allow the use of pre-paid credit cards. Get rid of the lock out for purchasing CC's, when people can purchase them. 2 - Fix the wait time when calling you customer service department. Having to wait 30-45 minutes and beyond is insane. Having to actually PAY for the call is even worse. Get a Customer Service number that is toll free. Hire more Customer Service employees and TRAIN them on how to fix issues instead of the standard "wait 24 hrs". 3 - Get rid of the useless items in the CM packs. I've said it before and will continue to say it, Jawa-grams, emotes, over issued belts/bracers/boots need to go. Add some variety and imagination in the things you do put out. Recoloring armor items and calling them new is NOT cutting it. I will give you this though. The speeders/vehicles you do come up with are very cool. Just need better drop chances on them. 4 - Implement Character Transfers. This issue has been requested for nearly a year now with no solid answer that I can find. Every other MMO is able to do this, why not this one? I see new posts DAILY from customers with no answer from BW. And SOON or COMING SOON is not an answer. It's a smoke screen. 5 - Add more things for Guilds to make them worthwhile to be in. Yes, the +5% increase to XP for being in a guild is nice but really, that is ALL you get. Yes, being in a guild makes it easier to find groups, I'll give you that. BUT, that is ALL there is. What sort of things can we look forward to? Also, lower the cost of opening a Guild Bank. For crying out loud, 600k is an insane amount for a Guild Bank start up. Here are a few issues that I also notice do not get enough attention that I KNOW will help this game tremendously: 1 - A type of summoning while in a Flash Point (or in general). Being able to summon someone to you when you are half way through would be fantastic when they are at the beginning. 2 - Customizing your Ship interior. Since we have ships that we basically live in let us customize them to our liking. 3 - Customizing our Companions talents. What I mean by this is give them actual full talent trees that WE can choose how they are spec'd. That is about all for now. Thanks in advance for listening/reading. KuroshimaiHD
I agree with every point there, ESPECIALLY 4. If I start up RIFT right now, I can transfer a character to any server I want, and it's instantaneous. No payment, no nothing. It just works. Bioware have SHOWN that they have a system capable of transferring large amount of characters at one time when they consolidated the servers, there is no reason why character transfers haven't been implemented yet. Toxxo
I concur, completely. I LOVE this game and I am happy to pay a subscription to play it. But when something goes wrong, we need poitive affirmative action to put that issue right and to make us feel like our custom is valued. When we get told to "Contact customer services" - ok, sure - but is there any point if when we can actually get through to them, they have NO IDEA what to do? deltadt
They were named "Worst Company in America" for a reason. they don't care about there customers which is not a good attitude. im at 24 days of sub time left and im thinking this game hurts under 2.0 with the space travel costs. and i was doing my jedi knight story on belsavis and i get to a part of it that is fail if killed. it's bad enough in sidequests i put those down as do not play because it is annoying as hell. for that to be in a class quest it really makes you wonder did monkeys make this game and add in the silly/stupid sidequests as well. it makes me shake my head. p.s foxrynn i like your sig. i watched act of valor for the second time this year 5 days ago. TylKarthEndu
I agree with this post. I have been a paying customer for about a year now. I joined during the play til lvl 15 free and by the end oft he day I was level 15 and paying for a subscription. I've never missed a month since and have bought extra cartel coins at least a dozen times. Lets start with how heavily I agree with number 3. The wasted items in these Cartel Packs are INSANE. Cartel Packs are generally paid for by Cartel Coins which are generally paid for by cash. There is nothing worse than spending $20.00 on a handful of jawagrams and thul statesmen packs. The rolls for these have gotten worse as of late. In addition to number 4 why can we not change character names. Heck make it a purchasable item or something that comes from Cartel Packs. People have been asking for this forever. Some of us had to change our names without warning and in haste have chosen a name we despise! I would LOVE to be able to customize my ship and companion trees. Would love to continue my companion story lines as many of them end in cliff hangers. I have also had some ideas for improving the quality of being in a guild. I open PVP areas there should be the ability to purchase guild bases. They should be expensive and you should be able to purchase turrets, guards, etc. This would make for interesting guild wars in these open PVP areas where bases can be stolen (the time it takes to fully steal a base should be between 8-12 hours so no one can simply do this on off hours). This would bring an interesting aspect to the guild life. You will have to give benefits for owning a base (possibly a free repair droid inside, respec, discounted vendors, etc). There should be a warning from the base guard that tells when base is under attack. Make it fun, draw more people to open PVP areas. I would also like to see the following implemented: Why does our protocol droid have to be preselected? Why can't we buy one from the fleet and choose our own when earning our ship. Why are crystals not being upgraded to level 55?
Kazya
Why are crystals not being upgraded to level 55? Bioware said a long time ago they'd rather have the crystals as more of a cosmetic than stat upgrade. They were thinking about just completely taking the stat off of them, but I haven't seen anything more on the subject as of late.
Thylbanus
BW - This is getting ridiculous. Why not TALK to the community and tell us what the heck is going on with the MAJOR issues that people are constantly informing you guys about. There a more than a handful of posts that you continually ignore. Let's go down the list of biggest customer complaints/issues shall we: 1 - FIX YOUR CREDIT CARD SYSTEM. Put out actual CM game cards folks can purchase at Gamestop/Best Buy/Target/WalMart...whatever store. Allow the use of pre-paid credit cards. Get rid of the lock out for purchasing CC's, when people can purchase them. You can use prepaid credit cards/gift cards. You just need to go to the credit card company's website and log your information in order to use. Contact the card provider to find out how. I'm sure that this is their number one priority on the business end of things, but that is an EA issue not BW. So they have completely different teams. Ha! This IS an improvement. It used to take 3-4 hrs, 5-6 hrs. on high call volume days. Some people like them, some don't. Don't judge. I have a guildmate that loves jawas and buys all the jawagrams that I get in packs. Personally I like the belts, bracers,...etc. I'm a bit of a fasionista. This is one of their biggest screwups when selecting the HeroEngine as they did not design the system they weren't aware of the full functionality. Unfortunatly those that did are the original programmers of the game and they have since gone the way of the dodo. Now even the designers of the HeroEngine don't know how to help them. It's back to basics and they have a long road ahead of them. Implementing server transfer at customer discression would possibly cause game destroying errors if done improperly. Remember, this is BW first MMO. They have made classic noob mistakes. The idea of server transfers was as likely as going F2P in their minds. They actually thought they were going to compete with WoW right out of the gate. Guild love has been called for and again is one of the many noob mistakes they made by no understanding MMO gamers. The 5% is probably meant as a "Hey guys! We acknowledge that you want this, but we have to figure out what to do first. Here is a cookie to tide you over until we do." As for the cost, it's meant to be prohibitive. A single person is not intended to be able to start or support this. This is to prevent some deluded idea of abuse of system. It is why you need 4 unguilded players to start a guild. 150,000 cr per player isn't way out of the ball park for many. It would just take one run at Black Hole or Section X to obtain. What I mean by this is give them actual full talent trees that WE can choose how they are spec'd. That is about all for now. Thanks in advance for listening/reading. All good points, but number 3. It would be cool, but ultimatly it would be out of character that Kaliyo or Khem would be have a focus on Synthweaving or something. I don't see them as the sewing type. Toxxo
. I think you are missing the point (or work for EA/BW!). We aren't posting here for fun. These are all issues that need addressing because the inconvenience is starting to outweigh the loyalty to a damaged game.

These are all issues that need addressing because the inconvenience is starting to outweigh the loyalty to a damaged game. Wow, thanks for the response Captain Obvious. This was meant to alay some consternation at what is happening. I happen to love the game, but I'm as concerned about these issues as you are. Much like the British meme, all I'm saying is: Keep Calm and Give Them Time Or even this They messed up big time in their own arrogance, they almost have to redesign this game from the ground up and do so while we are playing it. It took 3 years to develop this game, it will likely take the same amount of time to fix it. EDIT: Changed to 3 years as production was begun somewhere around October of 2008. They stated that they were kicking around plot ideas for 2 years prior with a FEW of the 12 writers. Edited May 1, 2013 by Thylbanus
Esproc
I'm sorry to disagree with you on this entitlement of want and desire that is not need. You cover extras you would like to see implemented, some would be nice too, but they should be taking second place to smoothing out the game and concentrating on fixing what is already in the game, like bugs. I am sure that with the bumps and all that it has been noticed by someone. Whether they respond or not is the case you are frustrated over now. Most posts will get no response, they hardly ever do. I have made 3 phone calls, and no luck. I have sent tickets in game which we all know is a joke cause they say to call. I have called. *shrug* The game is amazing, well done, beautiful graphics. Celwinn
I can understand them not specifically saying what's wrong with the credit card system, but at least acknowledge that it's a problem and that you are (should) be working VERY hard to get it fixed. IMO, fixing your credit card should be the TOP PRIORITY for Bioware. This is the system that defines how much money you make. If it's broken, how will you make your money? Haelis
HI I'm Haelis and I approve this post! **NOTE** I have played since early beta and all the things you ask for are actually reasonable, very reasonable. Unfortunetly Bioware has been owned by EA for several years now. In fact the people who made Bioware are gone as well as the devs who invented the game. Yes these things SHOULD happen, but I will not be holding my breath. Remember this, EA has won most hated company on the planet 2 years in a row now. Do you really think they actually will do any of these things? I doubt they even give a rats kazoo what we the paying customers want. Sorry. **NOTE** Edited April 30, 2013 by Haelis
Darth_Moonshadow
The reason Bioware doesn't talk to "paying customers" is the same reason why every retail employee always seems to have that look on their face that says "Oh god, this guy again!" when they spot you in the store. You are a massive pain in the butt. When was the last time you ended a ticket in "Thank you for your time"? When did you last praise Bioware for anything? You never show Bioware respect, yet you assume Bioware should show you some because you spent five bucks on some pixel coins. You are not more important than the Freebies or the Preferred. Bioware will inform you of things when they come and will fix/nerf/buff whatever THEY feel needs to be. If you don't like it, you can freaking walk. Honest to Maker, no one is holding a gun to your head here, so why not just take your disgruntled butt and go? Because for everyone of you that leaves, some thirteen year old kid is asking his parents to buy him this game since Disney pulled the plug on the Clone Wars MMO he was playing months ago and now he needs something to distract him. Oh and if you ever wondered how the kitchen staff got your steak so juicy after you sent it back? They dropped it in the Men's room toilet. So long and thanks for all the fish. Yeah, I'm aware this post will be reported for being rude. I will take that hit because this needed to be said.
Toxxo
*snip* If you aren't affected by tyhe issues raised in the thread then stop getting your knickers in a twist. FWIW, I am always polite because politeness costs nothing and I was raised to treat people the way I would like to be treated myself. And for your information (not that it's important) I do actually say thank you on the few tickets I have sent. And if all of what I have written vexes you then tough - pay good money everymonth and I would enjoy paying extra. Myself and the people who are raising issues might be a massive pain in the ars3 but we aren't going to stay silent and we aren't going away. Sorry to disappoint you. Thylbanus
Two things jump out at me as I go over this again. 1.) Zak hasn't responed since his first post. 2.) If answers are needed, what is the question? I've read over his rant and found no questions. Just a rant of how life is unfair. I've tried to answer his questions as best I could having been here since beta and understanding EA and it's policies as they have caused me no end of headaches as well. Honestly, demanding answers and asking no questions is just rediculous. (Well there is the guild question, but that is a question they are asking themselves and it's pointless to ask someone who doesn't know.) That is all this really is and no one responds to demands, especially when you lord over them what you do for them. This thread will not be responded to. Give up on the thought that they will (unless it is shut down due to all the flaming going on and the only response will be that they are shutting it down). The only info you might gleen from this is from the veterans of SWTOR, since we have been dealing with this crap for years. We have come to accept that it's going to get done, when it gets done. If you happen to fall by the wayside, sorry. There will be other games and other forums to lord your $15 a month over. Zaknaffien
Let me start by saying that when I choose to post I do not do so lightly and usually choose my words carefully. I did not want to post again but as this thread is beginning to take an ugly turn I feel I must. So here goes....... For those that have posted in disagreement with what I and other have said , you have that right , obviously. The reason I posted what I did was not and is not because I (or others) feel entitled or what have you. It was posted to shine a light on issues that a good number of folks are having. It was posted to get BW (or even EA) to hopefully respond to some of the issues that are slowing the enjoyment of this wonderful game. As paying customers, we, DO need an answer to A LOT of the issues we see in this game and what is being done to fix them. If no answer is given does it not seem like BW/EA are then ignoring their customers? Ignoring issues/concerns does not make them go away. As far as telling those who are voicing concerns or giving suggestions on how to improve the game let me give you a scenario. Say you go to a restaurant that you LOVE. Then one day you get TERRIBLE customer service AND the normal dish you like was changed for the worse. AS A PAYING customer would you not say something to a manager? Would you not fill out a comment card on your visit? Would that instance keep you from coming back to see if voicing your concerns helped? I would bet the answer is to all but the last question is YES. Well...that is what we are doing here. Voicing our concerns to improve a product/service that we dearly love only to make it better. I'm POSITIVE there are concerns and issues that EVERYONE has and would love answers to. To those that voiced concerns, so far, please keep them coming and thank you for letting your voice be heard. If we keep our mouths closed then nothing changes..... Thank you for your time. Peace and Chicken Grease.... **I would have posted sooner but real life called and I needed to answer it** Edited May 1, 2013 by Zaknaffien adding something
Thylbanus
Ok Zak, lets look at what you are complaining about and look at it from their point of view and your assertions that they must be doing by default. 1. Credit card system: You imply: EA is sitting on their hands laughing it up that people are getting all pissed off that they can't give them their money. "Oh look at those silly gamers waving their money at us crying, 'Take my money!" Why would we want to do that? Our families live off of sunshine and positive thoughts." EA: Dude we need to get this fixed before the investors find out that we screwed up big time. Get every specialist we have on this ASAFP. Hire some outside contractors if need be, but get this done YESTERDAY! 2. CSRs: You: What do we need trained CSRs for? Outsource that to another country that doesn't speak English and we woun't have to hear about it. GOD! Whiny gamers! EA: The Lead CSR has been changed twice since launch. That is a 200% attrition rate in one year. Companies don't do that with managers unless things are dire. 3. "Useless" items in the Cartel packs. Really pointless since it only your opinion and others, like myself, do not share your point of view. No need to respond here. Sales metrics will reveal what is really used/traded/sold and they will adjust accordingly. 4. Server Transfers You: [pfft] It's so funny to see them rage quit because they happened to chose the wrong server from their friends and spent thousands of dollars on the CM that woun't move with them should they decide to move and re-roll their characters. HAHAHAhahahah.... EA: With the more dire need for resolution in the APAC/Oceanic zone, they are working hard not to lose all the paying customers there who are leaving in droves becasue they can't transfer. There is a plethora of info on their progress (or rather lack there of), you just have to look. I'll save you time, here is some for you: APAC/Oceanic server concerns State of the Game #2 State of the Game #3 5. Guilds - You: Huh? What's a guild? Oh the expanded friends list thingy. Yea, I'll get to that after I take a nap. EA: A sticking point that is on their "Wall of Crazy" They are still exploring possibiities and how to implement. The devs only have a framework at last report and are working that into an upcoming update, but that has not even been set. So they can't respond what it is or will be since they aren't sure themselves. The 5% is a bone thrown to show you that they are working it. Your last 3 suggestions belong in the proper forum - Suggestions Here are some sources for you to find out what is going on- Top 10 issues Developer Tracker and most importantly to keep abreast of issues: Community News (i.e. Read the damn STICKIES!) Also, see outside game news sources: DarthHater Dulfy.net Finally, nothing you posted about is new. It's all been hashed and rehashed to death.
