HundeThutt
Not to out right insult the art stylings of BioWares talent. Because I do like the design. I just believe the Jedi and Sith robes need a couple tweaks to mirror the advertisements if you will. My examples are here, players want to see flowing robes over armor as such: http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ku6oe2nl2W1qzyhb5o1_500.jpg But what we are seeing are things like these: http://www.nemesis-guild.net/gfx/sith_warrior_prog.jpg http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/3/3c/SithMarauder-TOR.jpg Now I understand, you may hate my opinion, however As you can see Here, Trooper is actually represented extremely well: http://cdn-www.swtor.com//sites/all/files/en/classes/trooper/62img/ss04_full.jpg Both in-game, and in Media: http://fr.flash-screen.com/free-wallpaper/free,wallpapers,41385/download,1680x1050,Star+Wars+The+Old+Republic+Trooper+.html# I even understand armors like this: http://sithwarriorguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/juggernaut.jpg Ubese armor and all that. But what I suggest is a simple fix, simply remove the belt that the robes are tucked under, to give a more free flowing look. What we have are partial vest-robes with capes attached... It looks kind of ridiculous. I know what BioWare is capable of: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/3201/255328-darth_revan_super.jpg Perhaps not the best example, there are not many. Is there a reason behind not allowing free flowing robes over armor? Such as depicted here: http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/2/2d/Jedi_Revan.jpg http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/99/reprobe3.png/ I just don't see it as something that is *hard* to change, it would be more pleasing to the eye. Make more sense, and generally wouldn't turn all Jedi armor into: http://images-mediawiki-sites.thefullwiki.org/00/1/8/3/32472722800784490.jpg Show your support, or even your contempt, what do you think? Selaik
Agree 100000000% about the Jedi heavy armorer , I thought it was going to be like your pick or clone wars , so much better looking and makes sense ,

Elarion
Most of the end game Jedi Armor makes me cringe. The set with the armor under the robe and hood down is very nice but I'm yet to see it in game. Also what is with the sunglasses as helmets for Jedi? I understand it is a way to make the helmet look visible under the robe and hardens back to KOTOR but it is just plain ugly. Also going to hijack the thread a little and say I want an option to not show helmet on companions. When I eventually get Lord Scourge he is gonna look terribad with his sunburn and sunglasses. Yeah, I am just not sure what they are going for with some of these designs. I'd thought since they are perfectly capable of creating stylish iconic looks.. why not make it more available? Rayje
granted I haven't gotten far (a shadow to mid 20's) but I'm not entirely against the robes as is. although I wish we had normal long sleeves on the ones I've seen as opposed to the short sleeve with another tighter sleeve underneath

And it seems the only examples I find are on some NPCs. Edited December 22, 2011 by HundeThutt

Lord_Reavous
I'd actually prefer to see end-game robes period with no armor. Movie Sith/Jedi in great majority wore none, Vader being the only case that wore, and then it wasn't extensive. But definitely, should be un-tucked at the very least, never saw a Jedi wear a robe that way. Something movie-esque for those of us not really into the crazy non-doorway-friendly armor. NyyuSecura
+10000, then why do jedi Shadow wear robes? .... they should have armors like Satele so they can move, same with the Jedi knight armor, they are 2 tipes.. the one you posted and the one with the UGLY cape, you look like doku.. ColonelColt
A lot of the Jedi Knight robes are depicted as just the jedi wearing normal trooper/clone armor with a robe thrown over top. That's it. They donned the same armor as their troops and then threw on their robe to denote they were jedi. Very rarely was the armor and robe built in as one. Only real time I can think of that happening was the Clone Wars micro series, with Obi-wan.
Finis
I've found exactly one set of armor that looks that way, and it is a non-orange piece (it's a purple with 2 modable slots) (pardon the photoshoping stuff, i was making a pic for a fic/comic I was doing, it's the only one I have on hand) http://www.shadowlandbbs.net/swtor/sylin4.jpg closest I've found to the robe over heavy armor look. and I love it. I want to keep it, but I cant find Any modable armor that looks like it. It's sadly not even crafted armor, because if that was the case i could Eventually find an orange piece of it. Drazirah
I think they should add a character slot for robe/cloak without sleeves/cape, with no stats, just for the look, so you can choose between using a robe/cloak/cape or not if you feel like it. Just like the companion skin mod. Having a hood/no hood option would be awesome too. And correct me if im wrong, but at the moment I think you cant use both hood + mask like revan right?. VeganHipster
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/99/reprobe3.png/ That image is an add-on for Kotor 1, saw it on the lucas forums. If anything that should actually help your point, the community has got a good idea on what types of armor to make!
twistedtime
I would like to see a two piece sexy nylon robe for my IA endgame wise. Mainly because office casual just won't cut it late game.
Daxramas
The only Jedi armor I find appealing that i've seen so far is the level 40 PvP armor. if someone could supply a pic of that coolies.
Taliesyn
There are SOME decent armors available via the customizable armors. My guardian, for example: Guardian Armor Another View (Yeah, I know I misspelled guardian in the first one.) I'll admit, though, I was really hoping for a set of armored robes like you see on the Knight in the Return cinematic. Unfortunately, not even the raid-tier armor looks all that heavily armored. Sky_walkerPL
+1 to OP. And: Yes, Jedi Shadows also need some good-looking pants, not just running in skirts everywhere, it's not...shadowy.

Vesperr
Step 1: Go to inquisitor endgame armor vendor. Step 2: Try it on. Step 3: Think that jedi knight/jugger armor isnt so bad after all.
Vegost
You are absolutely right. There are some chest-pieces with attached capes that flow from the shoulders to the floor, though.
Rikalonius
As an early poster said, I wish they'd have not gone the "every other MMO" route and tried to fill all these slots. It would have been better for you to just get armor as a piece and helmet as a piece, and then fill them with mods for each location, e.g. chest, hands, legs, boots for the armor portion. Helmet would act the way it does now. Then you just need to drop mods, and sometimes armor, this way you choose your armor as a whole, not piecemeal. mrHaterade
What should really happen is Force users should have an additional "back" slot to fit your robe. Obi Wan's robe didn't seem to add much to his AR in A New Hope. :/
