Hello The Ebon Hawk!

 

It's come to my attention that the HK-51 quest will require visiting The Outlaws Den, an open PVP area on Tattoine, to visit a vendor for certain quest items. At least this is how it currently appears on the Test Server.

 

My thought is that once this patch drops, and there is a need to visit TOD, we'll have a wonderful recipe for a potential world PVP event on our server. In this vein, <Hex> would like to offer our services to those who are not inclined toward PVP to "hire" us as an escort to and from the vendor. If some republic guilds got involved (and other Imperial guilds), we could really put together a server-wide event that would pull the community together: PVP, PVE and RP all in one place. The real kicker would be that there would be an actual objective to "control" that would give one faction an advantage as it would allow that faction to more readily acquire HK-51.

 

Obviously, it's all speculation at this point as the HK-51 quest is subject to change before it goes live. You also have the problem of those who would view this as potential griefing. TOD couldn't be controlled 24/7 due to real life schedules, so to me that solves the problem. The goal of the event would be not to grief, but to put together a player-made event that could be epic if done right.

 

I'm guessing the patch will drop in the next week or two, so we don't have a lot of time to plan. I'd love to hear your thoughts below. The more folks who show interest, the better. This could be a lot of fun.

 

<Hex> isn't much into RP, but we'd happily play along (mostly be keeping our mouths shut so as not to break immersion, and just do what we do best which is to grief Tuvor...uh, I mean kill Pubs). It would be great if a role playing guild took the reigns of the RP aspect, as we really don't know what the hell we're doing on that front.

Jerc will most likley be protecting you from all sorts of baddies. I recommend seriously considering his offer.

 

In RL im normally a really easy going no drama guy. Although this is an RP server.. And R-PVP is my first love.

 

Mortalya is about as evil as it gets. She will not hesitate to throw down with anyone at any time. I am Pax Hound through and through, and I will attack you on sight.

 

RED=DEAD.. Especailly in the OutLaws Den.

By "cheap" you must mean to low low price of the satisfaction it brings you to see me go respawn?

I was there last night and got facerolled by a full GG and Zen group.

 

Diz, Bay and Sindol were so far up my ***** that I had to go to Tattooine instance 2.

 

Mind you Im in Full Min/Max WH, So if your thinking you can just roll up and get your pieces you sadly mistaken.

I think this could actually be fun. Send people to the fleet to rally the Imps guilds to respond.

I think this is a great opportunity for open world pvp, however, given the amount of QQ that occurred last night I also see the potential for disaster. I was out there last night but did not take part in the OWPVP due to amount of complaining that was being sent my way.

 

I think it's awesome that Bioware has introduced a quest line that forces pve'rs to reach out to the pvp community, which has had to depend on the pve community for months to obtain BIS armor mods. This is a great opportunity to build relations between the two communities if we can all approach this is a civilized manner (because killing people can be civilized).
