Ideal operation groups

I would like to know what kind groups are ideal for 8man and 16man operation groups?

How many tanks and healers would be enough eg in 8man group, what about 16man?

From what I've seen / experienced / read, the optimal for 8 man are: 2 tanks - 2 healers - 4 dps.

 

For 16 man, it is a little different - 2 tanks, 3 healers and then 11 dps.

This makes the fights different and might change certain tactics, but I believe this is the setup most guilds run this far. It can of course vary from fight to fight, and these can be discussed as well, but in 8 man, if you take more than 2 healers, you won't be able to make most enrage timers.

Average Operation compositions are (I assume intended to be):

 

8 man:

2 Tanks

2 Healers

4 DPS

 

16 man:

2-3 Tanks (Dependent on encounters, some trash is too hard to manage sometimes)

4-6 Healers (Dependent on how hard the tanks get hit, and whether you're in the midst of learning the fight or not.)

8-10 DPS (Based whether or not you hit the enrage timer, and the amount of tanks/healers you need in the group.

We cleared eternity vault normal with.

 

1 jugg tank

1 sorc heal, 1 operative heal

5 dps.

 

Didnt have any issues.

 

For the encounter boss with the panels, sorc dps, operative healer and sniper stun locked the elites on ine side so that they did not need to be tanked.

 

At no other point did we feel the need for a second tank.
