Harower
So I have heard that the servers are starting to become full, as a result they will be bringing more servers up as they release waves. So does this mean that because I pre ordered after my friends I will have to join then on a busy server? or try to get them to start new characters on the less full server once I'm allowed access? This whole system seems to be kinda detrimental to playing together with friends right now when I was pretty sure that was the thought process behind a lot of design decisions. Also I convinced a work mate to purchase the game a few hours ago, he was still able to sign up for early access, this bothers me and my friends for the following reason. One of my mates is describing this launch as a classic sales tactic. Raise price of item so that when you lower it back down the customer feels like they are getting something special. For example if launch was 20th they would call that early access and make the 25th the official launch date. Clearly they are launching now because this is when they are able too otherwise they wouldn't. Which makes this the ordinary launch date not some special optional extra that is now standard like air-conditioning in cars.
Caras
Server pop caps are likely artificially low today. But yes, Bioware wants to break you and your friends up. You're a bad influence. Edited December 13, 2011 by Caras

darthmazley
thats fine and dandy sir but its what comes with the first come first serve basis. This is old news. Nothing Bioware can do for you mate. You are SOL pretty much when it comes to servers being full. It's either you wait in line or play on a different one. Striker
Just all roll on the same server. Don't worry if it says its full or not.
darthmazley
Go with it if you want. I'll clarify for ya. Your buddy is up crap creek unless he's willing to wait in line. Your other mates who get to play either can wait for you guys or not.
roggew
I hope there is a queu if you try to create a new character on a full server. And that it never will be locked if you try to create new characters. Any info about how they will handle full servers? Because I believe half of my guild will be +40 when me and the other half get access several days later. And I expect that server to be very full.... So I guess we will have to create characters on that server regardless how full it is. And regardless how long the queu is...
Lord_Itharius
I doubt they'll lock servers before official launch. That would just be silly.
Valhakar
Or just wait until everyone in your group is ready to go. My work week is slammed this week. My wife will wait to play until I have time to properly play. Show some maturity.

Savantster
Well, if you're that worried about being able to play with just a few friends (I'm in that boat), then either wait until you can all pick a server and start together, or have faith that BW is capping servers low at present (or showing "full" when they are at less than optimal population) and leaving room for those coming later to be able to jump on with their friends as EGA progresses. You also have the problem of being 10 to 15 levels ahead of your friends when they finally get to log in.. unless you're willing to run alts, you're still hosed. Again, solution: wait until you can all run if running together means that much to you.
