This last boss is SOOOOOOOOO Glitched. This frezzing players and you can't free them. The Generals ability to randomly, readily, and constantly freeze players and then no matter how much you run through them to free them it doesn't work. I will not run this again until this buggy fight is fixed like so many other things in this game are sooooo bugged since the 2.0 Patch. Really annoying that you release product that is sooo screwed up.

Yeah they posted that there was a bug with this. Essentially Ortol's shackle has a small AoE on it. The target of the AoE can be freed like normal, but others hit by the AoE cannot.

 

Solution is just to have your group spread out a little bit. Annoying but still a very doable boss.

Stand on different sides of the boss. Works with 2, but beyond that...

you can have the tank kiting, pt/vg better for that, or you can just save your cc breaker for the bug..i didn't fall in the bug's trap more than once and i had the ccb ready.

 

oh, once i died in bug but my group managed to finish the general...

Or save your escape ability for this. Sure it's annoying, but doable anyway.

to spread out is easily possible with up to 3 melees I've you have 4 something is not quite right with your group composition ^^
