In the Galactic Starfighter testing?
Ah!, I don't really play on the test servers, I'd rather spend time on the characters that actually matters, though I have been thinking about it lately :o

Aha, okay, the "s" at the end kinda confused me, thought it was short of a 3 word sentence :D

So how do you take in-cuscene screenshots? My printscreen button only works outside of them.
I don't use the build-in screenshot feature, instead I use an universal screen capture and recording program called "FRAPS" ;) Edited by CorePhantom

Besides the border and SWTOR logo what sort of post-production work do you do on your screenshots?
Well because the screenshots are not able to capture the vibrant in-game colors (for some reason they always turn out a little brighter than the game actually is), I often adjust both the "contrast" and "saturation" so the pictures look closer to what it really looks like in my game ;)

On rare occasions the lighting can cause the shot not to properly reflect the actual light in the in-game environment in question, in such cases I will also adjust the "hue" :)

The 3rd thing I do is direct editing, such as look for bad clipping in the models, as there are so many combinations in both weapons and armor parts it is impossible for SWTOR to make all the equipment work seamlessly together, in most cases it is the weapons that can cause problems, where they will protrude through the cloth / armor.

The editing also involve removing things like the companion affection gain pop-ups during conversations, or the conversation "wheel" pops-up at just the same second as the character makes a funny face, I usually avoid these pop-ups by restarting the conversation with the HUD toggled off, but in some cases it's not possible to capture the same exact shot and I'll just edit out the pop-up afterwards instead :p

But whenever I do these edits it is always very important to me not to give people a false or misleading impression of how the game actual looks and I never edit anything in a way that will make things like armor combinations look better or much more seamless than they really are, only in very rare situations where the characters use animations exclusively seen in cut-scenes (kneeling, acrobatic attack and such) will I edit things to cover up protruding bits and pieces, they don't reflect animations that you might see during the general game-play, so I usually feel comfortable editing these :)

Example of both "contrast", "saturation" and editing (the images are not identical, but the problem areas were the same):

After:

In this case the armor is showing allot of clipping because the character has his arms crossed, which is primarily a cut-scene animation, so I think it's fair to edit it (WIP edit) :)

Okay I have to say, despite all my skepticism regarding this expansion, mainly because of it being strictly PvP, I have been very positively surprised and I basically can't get enough of it, though it can be a bit frustrating at times when you can't get people to work together and they are just all over the place attacking and chasing everything they see, which is pretty much the easiest and fastest way to make your team loose :p

Anyway, I took a little detour in the interactive guide and took some shots for you guys hehe :D

The craft in the screenshots is the "Flashfire", which is a "Scout" class fighter and the preferred craft of my trooper Isalin :)

I can't wait until they get sexier gunships. Then I'll play GSF a lot more.
Well, really the Imp side is the big problem design wise, the "Scout" class is nice enough, the "Gunship" is not completely terrible, but the "Striker" class craft is a complete fail tbh, if they had made the hull longer towards the rear it would have made a huge difference and made it look less like a truck :p

What's funny is that allot of the early concept arts had some allot more interesting alternate designs for most of the Imp ships, don't know why they didn't use them

The Rep's crafts are pretty cool imo, but as a design freak I will always see things I would like to change or do different, but all in all I really like them :D

But it seriously annoys me that it appears that they didn't release all the basic crafts right away, 'cause the time spend upgrading your craft is a complete loss if they then at the official launch day release a craft that you like allot more, you'll have to start all over again from scratch, it would be great if you were able to strip your crafts from their upgraded components and add them to your hangar's (let's call it) "workshop" as separate parts, from there you would then be able to attach them to your other crafts of the same class :)

The "A-Wing" ship looks exactly like the default one, except with the wings folded.

Mind you, in many places, I've seen pictures and models of the default fighter WITH the wings folded, and they looked nearly exactly like your fighter.

Two screens I too just now. My favorite place for screenshots in the whole game, the Senate Plaza on Coruscant focusing the sunset.

Resized not to break the forum's layout. If you would like the original size, let me know!
