Solaras
Taking in to account ability cd's and shock's improvement through talents, im having a tough time figuring out where "surging discharge" fits in to the rotation. It has lower cost, but if ur low on force, wouldnt a couple of our basic no-cost attacks with surge procs be sufficient? It has the added benefit of working in some solid force regen time in. Discharge just seems a bit underwhelming for damage. Maybe if it had an armor sundering efffect to it (in exchange for some of its damage) id be more inclined to use it more often. Just wondering what im not taking in to consideration or just flat out missing. Educate me, forum pros! Thanks!
verfallen
You missed the talent that boost discharge damage by 30% (5 stack of 6%) when surging charges deal damage, and the one that boost critical damage %. Lets say shock damaged boost 30%, discharge boosted 30%, both with crit damage increase of 50%, and a nice recklessness before hand makes for interesting results. Also, Surging Charge's discharge is internal damage, therefore not mitigated by armor. So on a tank, it will most likely hit harder than shock's energy damage. Toxification
I personally always use it on cooldown as much as I can. Namely because as powerful as shock is it requires 2 thrash/voltaic slash to get to that point.
Solaras
+1 interwebz, verfallen. I misread the 30% boost as surge procs. I.r.dum. Thx!

The burst damage potential when talented, proc stacked and hitting recklessness is just rediculous, even more so when you have Exploit up and can throw in a maul and it crits, which by this time you will also be in range of an assassinate. I have done this combo many times in pvp, each attack hitting for 3K+ in basic lvl 50 gear with nothing but daily mods/enhancements and armor. Four back to back 3K+ crits along with our interrupts and stuns, makes for a quick kill no matter who it is.
Solaras
The tooltip for the 5-stack talent appears incorrect. This is what led to my confusion. Thanks for the feedback all!
