On my Bounty Hunter, I have a collection of both Black Hole and Columni armor. The thing is I don't like how either armor looks. If I strip the mods of these armors and put them in orange armor will it be the same thing?

 

If I did this would it be the same or does the armor from either the BH or the Columni have more advantage themselves being the armor that they are?

 

To me, the orange armor looks way better then these higher level ones.

Black Hole armour has no advantages that will be lost. The Columi stuff will lose the set bonus if you put it into another shell. See how it looks if you use the Columi legs/feet/hands/head with a cool chest and then colour match - that is your best route to looking how you want without losing any mechanics.
