Vader as the villain of Thor Movie

Recommended Posts

Are you srs? Vader would get smashed. No sith /jedi could come close to fighting someone like thore.

Movie Thor is not stronger than many Jedi/Sith.

Vader also has the Empire behind him.

Thor = Demi-god. Vader, just a jedi. Thor has mjloinor which cannot be lifted by anybody BUT thor, and controls lightning! You know, stuff that ended up killing vader in the end.

Sorry Vader vs a demi-god. LOSES. and loses HARD. One hit from mjolinor would crush vader's chest like a tin can. And you say vader has the Empire behind him?

Valhalla and Odin FTW.

Movie Thor only has slight advantage against Iron Man, and clearly could not fight against those alien troops by himself.

And in comic god does not mean you are more powerful, Darkseid is the most powerful new god, Doomsday is a science project and Doomsday stomps Darkseid badly. Thor also has 0 chance before Doomsday.

Oh God, there are so many things wrong with this post it isn't even funny.

First off. Assuming we are talking the Thor in the Comic Books and not the Thor in actual Norse Mythology, I will go with the assumption that most of your statements are accurate.

However, in actual Norse Mythology, Thor is a full fledged God in and of himself. Not a Demi-god. A Demi-God is basically what Hercules and Peracles are in Greek Mythology. As a full fledged God, Thor has the advantage of being immortal, invulnerable to all but the other Gods and certain God-Slaying entities (such as Fenrir) and downright all-powerful within the confines of his given "Domain" (for want of a better word).

As far as Mjolnir is concerned, Thor is not the only entity in existence that can lift that hammer. Odin by default as the father of all the Gods is capable of lifting Mjolnir. Certain other non-god entities are also capable of lifting Mjolnir. And anyone who wears Thor's Gauntlets can likewise lift Mjolnir.

Other than that, your assessment falls apart in the simple fact that Jedi and Sith have fought actual Force Gods before and won. Force Gods being the Star Wars equivalent to Thor. So assuming that Thor were translated into the Star Wars Universe and his powers and abilities were powered by the Force instead of by out and out magic, I think that the Sith would have just as much chance fighting Thor as he would any other Force God.

Re: Darkseid being the most powerful New God. Darkseid isn't even from the same universe as Thor and Ironman. Technically a battle between Thor, Ironman and Darkseid has just as much likelyhood of happening as does a battle between Vader and Thor. And if Darkseid did show up in the Marvel universe... Thor would have a very good reason to go no holds bar against Darkseid. Meaning he would dispense with the Demi-God host and use his full god powers. Because the Movie Thor is basically just a shell that the actual Thor uses to house his full on Divine Power.
