Tekell
http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/DT.GD5AA.002 It is a Gateway FX6860-UR21P I don't want people saying how they hate Gateway or how I should build a computer. I just want a pre built or a built to order computer that will run this game and other games on a high setting, or at least console graphics. If you know of a better computer for under $1,300 that I will get a better bang for my buck please post a link to it with a name in case the link doesn't work. Thanks. Atramar
Might be tough, Hard drive is low rpm and card is not best, if want to stick with Radeon, Radeon HD 7870 will be better by alot from 7770 HD.
Tekell
I don't care what is in it really as long as it will play with good graphics and can play other games with console graphics or better. The one thing is I will not get a Mac cause I like windows more. No offence to any Mac people, I have an iPod touch and Nano, I just grew up with windows. Diagorias
Actually since this game (like most MMORPGs) is very CPU-bound and with that memory you can easily use the SWTOR unleashed, I think you can play the game on max, for a bit quicker loading you can always later go for an extra small SSD harddrive
Tekell
Any recommendations of a better computer that is $1200 or less?
HoboWithAStick
Yeah this computer would run it max, Well as max as it can go right now. Swtor is only dx9 meaning that NO graphics company supports it right now (oopps) The good news, the hero engine hardly knows what a GPU is so most of the rendering is done on the cpu. Bad news is that you are paying for that nice gpu and and are going to need to turn off all the nice features on it so the game doens`t stutter like a mother. Hopefully they do the bump up to DX11 so maybe one day we can see a driver update with swtor notes in it
Tekell
So then do you know of a computer that would run SWTOR and Skyrim on max?
DarkDisturbed
Yes, it'll run it on max, no problem. but, you're getting ripped off for $1300 bud.

Ognajd
I'm still rocking ddr2 ram and a gtx260. The game looks fine to me.
ConzarCR
Although I'm rocking a GTX560Ti now, the GTX260 was the best value purchase I ever made for my PC. Lasted ages and was cheap as chips. Some general rules about buying PCs: Memory nowadays is dirt cheap and is an easy upgrade to do yourself, so don't make memory size a dealbreaker if it's too low. Make _sure_ you're getting a 64 bit OS. Your eyes will love you for a high quality monitor, and you keep the monitor and just upgrade the main unit when the time comes for an upgrade. Similar rules for mouse and keyboard.
