# 55-6 Holographic Node Entry

"This is Lord Belvorr, Sith Lord and Military Campaigner of the Expeditionary Force. This journal entry is short as I'm due for dispatch within the hour. I'm currently on a shuttle escorted by the Imperial Aurek Fighter Squadron. Our objective is Illum -- little was briefed as they needed my cooperation quickly. I was simply told to take the initiative. I'm supposed to prove my worth through leading these sacks of uselessness.

The Imperial military lacks. I'm disgusted by the weakness I sense in these 'soldiers' of the Empire. They reek of fear, and are simply not ready. It's quite the irony, they dispatch me to Illum and left the Expeditionary Force behind in control of the reckless Val'naast. I can only imagine what that Mandalorian is doing to my able-bodied fighting force."

"We've landed in a forward Imperial outpost. I'm currently in collaboration with various other Lords. We were briefed on the Republic's involvement on this world. It was short and vague, I suppose they expect me to gather my wits and take control of the entire Imperial campaign on this planet.

I've been receiving reports from my second-in-command on the other side of the galaxy. He reports that the Expeditionary Force has been doing well in the recent weeks of fighting with the Republic. The galaxy is ripe with war, it's only a matter of time before the Treaty crumbles and the Empire will see what the Expeditionary Force is 'truly' capable of.

I will continue with my holographic entries as news develops. This world... something about it.. it has a hidden power"

"We've made our first excursions into the deep frost. We encountered heavy weather and tremendous winds. Many of the shock troops part of my force turned back -- the weak lot of them. I was enraged by the blatant weakness these 'soldiers' portrayed. Our first objective was to come within contact range of Republic combatants, and relay enemy movements back to the main force.

We trekked across the frozen wasteland, and eventually came across a canyon. Our engineers suggested a commission of a new bridge -- but I would not linger long. We made our way around.

I ordered our scouts to scope out the area and bring back intelligence on the surrounding terrain. We've hiked for two days now, I believe it is time to regain our bearings and rest."

"Our camp was just attacked. It wasn't by the Republic either. Apparently Illum is home to the dreaded species of Gorgodon. These savage beast ran right into our camp without any warning. The weather was so thick, our thermal visors didn't pick up on them until they were thirty -- maybe fourty feet away.

A few losses, but nothing to note. The creatures method of killing was impressive, and joyful to watch. They would capture their unsuspecting prey and wrap their monstrous arms around them -- suffocating them. The Imperials caught in the beasts choke hold deserved to be destroyed; their lack of awareness caused them to fall prey to a stronger force in this galaxy. Such is the story of all things; the weak perish, and the strong survive.

I was able to encounter one up close. Their fighting is primitive, yet they have a strong outer skin. The only way to completely maim one was to shatter it's spinal system -- where then it was unable to react or further endanger it's opponent. I was surprised, as the veteran Imperial officers quickly figured this was the most efficient way to defeat one -- and then relayed that information to his fellow squadron. Such leadership will guarantee our success on this planet. Maybe not all Imperials in my excursion force are useless, afterall.

The bodies were discarded in the nearby canyon -- along with the Imperial corpses. We do not have time for petty burials. The Sith Lords accompanying me seem to be fed up this planet. Their whining will be their undoing."
