But did you saw a bug, when after kiter getting soad, Raptus abilities pattern become broken?

It's not necessarily a bug, this exact thing could happen on HM as well. What happens is, if you out range Raptus (30m is my guess) the pattern can completely change, but to a set 2nd pattern every time (as soon as he stops spinning he'll pop his knockback). This is also 100% recoverable & manageable.

Can confirm, taking hits from Raptus seems to prevent the kiter being targeted by force cyclone. Whether this is due to range (which can certainly **** the timings) or by keeping Raptus engaged I cannot say.

Tanks getting targeted is due to swaps been slow or fudged (thus both Bestia and Calph targeting the same tank at the time of selection, which seems to be 10s plus before the cast). At least in my experience this is the cause, counting down the taunts, Calph>Bestia first, seems to eliminate the issue.

This seems like a good place to ask this and if its not my apologies;

For Raptus in his single fight, once he goes to 40% and starts his Spinning Attack. What determines his final target? Is the tank who had aggro at the start of the cast or the end of the cast? Trying to determine how to set him to always come back to me so I can make use of phase wall to help out range his spin damage.

I believe so.

Not sure about that. When our tank was getting Soa'd at the start, it happened every time he generated massive threat on Bestia. He's the one who pulls, he never loses threat on Bestia since no one else is attacking her, and the Soa happens before the tanks would ever normally swap. If he holds back and only hits her little bit, he never gets Soa'd at the start. So at the very least, the first Soa might be entirely based on overall threat, and there's definitely nothing at all stopping it from targeting a tank.

Our kiter had a similar idea, because he was almost always the first one Soa'd when he put out all of his DoTs at the start on multiple targets, putting him at the top of the early threat meter. But sometimes he wouldn't be, and sometimes he'd be Soa'd first even if he held back his threat.

Did a group already kill council with a sage/sorz healer?

A Sage isn't much different than a Commando for healing this fight, though a Commando has greater DPS potential in phase 2.

The better question is: Has anyone killed Dread Masters without a Scoundrel healer? To my knowledge, no. Sage-Commando is more challenging than any pair with at least one Scoundrel. I don't recommend Sage-Commando unless, like

or Underworld Alliance, your tanks never swap Calphayus and Bestia.

If Turtle was still playing this game, I can almost guarantee the first kill would have been Merc Sorc for Death and Taxes. Instead, we went Merc Op. It actually had nothing to do with heal composition and everything to do with "Devasta is a very talented Op healer" and obviously Kak is going to be on his Merc all day every day. After timed run is achieved, our healers will switch roles, so Devasta is able to get a kill on the sniper, and Genn will heal it. Seeing as she is best at her Op, that will still be the comp, but again, it's for "best healer available" reasons more than anything. I really do wish that we could have seen a Kak+Turtle Council kill healing comp, because I think it would have been awesome.

As for the no swap on Bestia and Calphayus, IIRC, HMD and UWA don't use the same strat. HMD straight up cheeses phase 1+3 by having a sorc respec to quasi heals, ensuring he doesnt get soad, he gets aggro on calph, then LOS's Calph until ready to push everything, ensuring calph fonts are never a problem. They do the same in phase 3. It trivializes the fight. They got through phase 2, the one TRUE difficult aspect of the fight, so GG to them, but yeah.

Hi, i'm Wunderbar of Ambassadors.

We, as the progress part of Ambassadors, want to announce something refering to the bosskill of "hmd magenta".

First of all:

- we don't want to argue

- the following is not discussable

We demand the removal and exclusion of "hmd magenta" for this pve progres, due to exploitation in phase 1 and 3 at dread council.

Otherwise we do not longer compete and quit further pve progress.

PS: It is one thing to cheat the game to get a bosskill, but it is an other thing to cheat the community. This is not acceptable.

hi community,

and big gz to magenda,

letting calphayus hit the torch for 3/4 off the battel seams to be a lot of fun^^.

But we all know that this bug use makes a big part of the battel much easier.

lets summ up a little:

- main tank of calphayus is the torch, a really tough guy who doesnt need much heal^^

- tanks dont have to think about placing the voids

- no bufft dread masters at all because no tank chance is nesesarry

- assasin tank is able to do this the whole time in p3 :D

But seriously, i dont think that bio wants us to kill the boss this way.

So i absolutly sign the post of my mate taccu

greeting phill
