I did TFB SM tonight, and the weirdest thing happened. In the last phase, I started doing almost no damage to the boss. You can see it in this parse between 600 and 670 seconds. (http://www.torparse.com/a/102116/31/0/Damage+Dealt) If you look at the log of events, you'll see that I was still doing damage, but all of my attacks were doing a lot less damage than they were supposed to. I think that I was standing on the platform that at Dulfy refers to as platform 7 in her guide. (http://dulfy.net/2012/09/26/the-terror-from-beyondterror-from-beyond-operation-boss-guide/) My damage went back up when I moved to a platform that was closer to the boss. I think it was platform 14. Is there some mechanic that I don't know about, or is this a bug?

from what i could see from your logs you were attacking the boss and not the tentacles on the platforms like you are supposed to do, you are not supposed to hit the boss until Phase 3.

 

iirc you get 3 sets of tentacles, 1 set on front, 1 on back after the hypergates then on the front again after another set of hypergates. only after these are down do you start dpsing the boss in P3.

 

ps, to damage the tentacles u must be on the same platform, and move when they slam.

 

depending on how your RL sets the groups for tentacles, lets say for example you are on the left side, this is the platform rotation you should be using:

 

tentacle 1 left side.

dps tentacle P11

move from slam P12

etc

 

Tent 2 left side

dps tenticle P9

move from slam P16

etc

 

tent 3 left side

dps tentacle P11

move from slam P12

 

P3 nuke boss from any platform make sure u on your own one.
