sigh... Not this again.

Ok fett escaping is not canon which means it didn't happen.

George lucas has stated many times that boba fett died. He even says it on the audio commentary for rotj.

Plus george lucas and leeland chee have stated several times that nothing that happens after rotj is considered canon.

Sorry but boba fett is dead.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Well a bit off, but this:

That is fallacious. The AT-ATs have strong armor along their exterior surfaces, but the articulation of the neck is a weak spot. The armor is thinner there in order to allow the cockpit to swivel and target enemies not directly in front of the slow and ponderous walker. Knocking the walker down turns it into a stationary target and allows the speeders to aim more accurately at the weak point. The explosion is a bit large, though; the shots must have hit a fuel line, or maybe set off the power source for the main cannons.

C'mon, never played Star Fox? If you're in a small fast fighter trying to take down a lumbering behemoth, there is always a magical glowing weak spot you need to hit. That is how the Rebels took down the first Death Star. Heck, they even had to analyze its shield first (using proton torpedoes rather than blaster fire to bypass the ray shield). Sound like Slippy Toad to you?

The emporer.

Amassed all that power over 6 films and a hell of a lot of years just to be thrown down the well by vader.

Vader's death was not that impressive either. It took me a long time to figure out what killed him; seemed like he just fell over and died. Luke took way more force lightning than him, and he walked away just fine.

I will grant that Padme's death was much, much worse. I give an 11 out of 10 on the lame scale. Seems like Lucas will write characters that are "supposed" to die, but can't come up with a reason, but reasons and logical coherence are no obstacles to Lucas.

if you watch the video it actually hits the At-At at the top of the armor not in the neck.

NO way. . .Mace Windu with his two useless escorts with him when they confront Palpatine. They die right off the bat. . .no reason for them to even be there. It's so stupid.

Dude it was three and those were Kit Fisto, Saesee Tin and Agen Kolar some of the most accomplished Jedi Masters of the clone Wars. Mace Windu being the greatest Saber duelist in the galaxy at that time, his death by Skywalker was worse...

George Lucas also created Jar Jar binks, fortunately Star Wars hasn't been in his hands for a while now... except for Clone Wars which is actually good except for some HORRENDOUSLY cartoony **** and aliens who couldn't speak basic speaking basic and stuff... And Darth Maul's alive after that terrible death but Boba Fett died? **** off...

Luke didn't rely on electronic equipment embedded with Sith sorcery and dark side energies to live. =p

Either way, got to agree Amidala's death was stupid and unnecessary. Especially when Leia remembers her -___- He unnecessarily created an idiotic plothole he could have filled with her dying a few years later of illness but living in hiding with the Organas.

Oh great. this thread again.

The way i see there are two seperate star wars. The awsome version (where smugglers dont sit around waiting to be shot, bounty hunters dont miss from two feet away, dark lords of the sith dont scream NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!, Mandalorians arnt hippies, Anikain Skywalker never had a padawan, Boba Fett blasts his way out of the sarlaac, Even Peil survives the clone wars ect.)

And that other version lucas made when his vision for what star wars was did a compleate 180 and he decieded to be a hypocrite. Then Lucas had the gall to get pissed because the fans realized that when compared to the the prequels "the glove of darth vader" is a masterpiece.

you are more then welcome to have your version of star wars it's just not official or what really happened.

Of course in every version of the Movie and the Novelization Boba Fett dies. It's not like there is some version of the movies where Boba fett survives like there is a version where Han shoots first.

Except it is canon, and he is alive. Which unfortunately lead to him being used as part of Traviss' pro-Mando anti-Jedi agenda.

Lucas has only said that as far as he's concerned, nothing happens after RoTJ, and that Fett dies in the Sarlac. This does not mean that anything post RoTJ is non-canon. That's not how the canon for Star Wars works.

G,T,C,S and N canon, are only there to keep the canon as much in continuity as possible, not to have a Star Wars multi-verse like Star Trek or Marvel/DC.

However he has not made a mandate stating that dead, which would obviously affect Fett's survival outside of the movies, like he did when it came to there being more than what few Wookiee Jedi that came into existence before he said an emphatic no to Wookiee Jedi. Which means that those few that did exist, are now the only examples ever of Wookiee Jedi in canon.

The point is, Lucas can say that Fett didn't survive and shouldn't be shown beyond RoTJ, but he hasn't. He's not stupid when it comes to money, and Fett is a big part of making money when it comes to the franchise, and has been since he first appeared in it.

To sum up, Fett surviving is canon and the only thing those who disagree with it can do is either accept or continue to wail against it.

If Lucas ever flat out states that Fett was killed after his drop into the Sarlac pit, that would make everything involving him N-Canon and require the biggest retcon of the EU.

Not to mention it would p-off more fans than Jar-Jar Binks existence combined with Vader's additional "NOOOOOoooo" for Blu-Ray RoTJ.

Actually alot of the things that happens after ROTJ is cannon. You are just making facts up to support your arguement. George Lucas is the only one that considers everything before TPM and after ROTJ to be non cannon.

I always wondered about that. Sometimes I think Jedi have the worst reaction time. I mean, you already know he's a sith lord, you see him flick his lightsaber out and come flying through the air and.....stand there to see what happens.

I always figured that high rated jedi and sith are not just using their light sabre but also mental powers to slow their enemies movements as well as making themselves move faster and being stronger etc.,

Windu and Sidious were an even match, the other two jedi masters were not a match in those enclosed spaces and were slowed to the point where Sidious despatched them easily.

I always got the impression that Sidious feigned weakness when losing the fight with Windu to force Anakin into attacking Windu, shown by him saying with a grin absolute power and force lightning Windu out the window.

It does make me wonder if Yoda went into exile because he maybe knew he could not defeat Sidious and to bide his time while Sidious grew older and his powers diminished.

Boba Fett didn't die in "JEDI". Being thrown (or fall) into the Sarlacc Pit is not instant death. Fett actually escapes the Sarlacc thanks to help from Dengar. (Gotta read the books to learn that)

As for worst death in the movies...Anakin storming the Jedi Temple with the 501st. That scene where he enters the chamber and the younglings come out of hiding because they think he is there to help. To me THAT is the worst death of all the films. Poor kids never had a chance.

I thought all the books are fan fiction?

i saw the ep 4/5/6 in theater in 1977/1981/1986. the worst death is... boba fett!!! i don't care about the comics or books which pretend is still alive, when i saw him flung into the sarlaac i was gobesmacked and disapointed.

But i mean as all the true fans of star wars we do love the nasty guys :D

For those who are saying Boba Fett, he so didn't die. He just got eaten. Jonah and the whale? No. Boba and the Sarlacc is the Star Wars Bible story I'm reading my kids.

Worst dead out of the movies has to be Greedo... You know that he saw it coming...
