SinTheta
Between Sith and Jedi oppsed to light or dark points? If i'm in a conversation and say, i'm a Jedi, what does doing "Dark" things do for me opposed to doing "Light" things?
Thannak
A "dark" jedi is a jedi fighting for the Republic, but willing to fight dirty. This would be the pre-order 66 Anakin. A "light" sith still uses the dark side, but has at least a code of honor. Gameplay wise, not much difference. Some companions will like you more or less and you can equip different armors for visual differences. The main effect is the story will change. Alphasgimaone
It's Bioware's roundabout way of instituting a D&D-esaue alinement wheel.

Halsion
You won't change factions, but your player story WILL change as you go about Dark or light side. There are Lightsabers and armors that require specific "alignments" such as LS I and DS I, some companions also like certain decisions better than others
