Eternity Vault Requirements?

Recommended Posts

Infernal Council misonsception: Bloodthirst and Predation automatically cause Marauders to recieve the "Penalty of Destiny" debuff.

In fact, it doesn't. You only receive the debuff by attacking an Infernal Council member linked to another player or by healing a player.

The ability you're looking for that causes issues with Marauders is Berserk, and even then, it only happens when the player is in Juyo form. While in Juyo, the Marauder gets a buff to their bleed attacks, yet those bleed attacks heal the entire group. If a Marauder wants to use Berserk, they either have to be in the Ataru or Shi-Cho stance before using it.

There's really no reason for a decent Marauder to not kill their guy. The actual DPS requirement for the Infernal Council fight is laughable at this point. Even in Hard Mode, players just need about a constant 700 DPS to kill their guy on time. Tanks need half of that, and healers just need to be able to survive the huge damage abilities of the Assassin.

don't let the WoW mentality "Full epics for hogger raid" discourage anyone from trying ev/kp sm. as the others said its laughable now and with a little luck from the rng goddess will help more than mashing your face in hm fp.

mods from dailies and warm blood flowing thru your veins should be enough for sm ev.

This is why I like the Infernal Council fight. Everyone needs to solo an easy mini boss. This fight should be first instead of 4th because it determines if everybody is geared.

We took an undergeared marauder thru and on this fight he died or timed out everytime. His gear wasn't even that bad, he had almost 15K hitpoints.

We tried him on the Healer and he kept dying. We moved him to the one with the next lowest hitpoints and he would get closer to killing him before dying.

Luckily on the 6th try, Another player got there just as he got killed and got off a 6.5 k crit to finish his boss.

One of his abilities heals the group slightly, giving him the no-damage debuff. Happens to marauders everytime.

Mara's need to be put in there own group in the raid frames. if u have more than one then make sure you put each one in a different group

Why would anyone do anything in greens when Recruit gear is free now?

And Recruit gear is fine for EV/KP SM for everyone except the tanks. Tanks must be at least minimally geared. Even healers can do fine in Recruit as long as they know what to do.

And as already said, mechanics knowledge and good skills mean much more than gear.

THIS FOR THE COUNCIL

When we were gearing guildies we would do SM with three fully geared characters (one of each role) and any five other characters. Whatever gear you made it to fifty in was good enough. This was modified Rakata gear on the threee "lead" toons. Infernal council did sometimes stop us so we'd drop the person who was failing it the hardest and swap in another geared guy to get the group past it then swap them back (I think) as none of the geared guys worried about their SM locks.

AS most have mentioned what counts most in EV (or any Op) is competence and team work. But gear does help, gear always helps. Tionesse should be able to handle SM with no problem and that stuff is easy to get if you regularly run HM Flaspoints, heck with the new Daily and Weekly missions you can get a fair amount of Columi from the HMs.

Our guild ran through EC SM on Sunday, taking some new lvl 50s on their first Op. All the more experience lvl 50s were in Columi or better (mostly Columi), but 1 of our newbies (Commando Healer) was kitted out with the free Recruit Gear he got at lvl 50. He walked away with some sweet Columi at the end.

Story Mode Requirements: Level 50...

Hard Mode: If you know what you're doing, level 49 epic mods (the ones you get from dailies) are good enough.

Nightmare: Full Columi is recommended.

Hmm. I don't know about that middle one. Might have an awful time staying up for the first boss's burn phase and missing enrage. Not saying it's impossible, but that looks like an awful tough clear. Also, on the rare occasion my guild's brought someone that lightly geared into HMEV, they've needed assistance in the duels. Which isn't a big deal because there were other, better geared players to help nuke the target . But if everyone's right on the edge of being able to finish the duel in time on their own, chances are, someone's not going to be able to pull it off. I mean, you'd be fine on Gharj, the pylons and probably Soa, but there are two other bosses.
