I'm tired of my armor. I'm level 50 and just about to start doing dalies and all the stuff but, until I can get some of that I've kind of fell in love with the TT-17A Hydra armor. I've got the helmet, boots and belt. I cannot find the rest. I've checked torhead and no one has any comments on them. Can anyone here help me, please?

I'm guessing you mean augmented, but no it can't. I saved up 3 sets of these for 1.2 to RE and was disappointed when it wasn't going to be possible. I hope the rumors are true that a future update will allow players to add augment slots to existing armor.

As mentioned already they seem to be random chest/boss/mob drops and I bought my whole set from GTN.

i also have a full set of this armour, but now orange with augment is going to be the way to go.

 

You cannot RE them (although Bioware was happy to tell us that all oranges can be RE'd from now on in the latest update... they still have no schems , so for now the hydra set sits in the bank waiting for its time that may never come..

don't forget Bioware mentioned in their notes around 1.2 that they will be adding a feature that allows players to add aug slots to existing orange gear (though they didn't say when) so keep hold of your gear

It's coming in 1.3, whenever that comes out. Then all orange gear will be equally useable for endgame.

Do you have to be a specific level for these kinds of items to drop? I'm level 50 and have been hunting for the RD-17A hellfire stuff, but it hasn't dropped from any of the reported areas.

It's just random. One of my friends got Hydra gloves from the storage boxes rewarded from the Belsavis dailies. I remember getting my Hydra leggings back in January from Voss, but haven't had any luck getting any more. That's why it's nice to be in a high pop server higher chance of drops and people putting them up on market, which is where I got all 3 of my sets

 

As for 1.3 it better come out with that augmenting feature this month or early June otherwise I won't be back for a very long time if at all. I'm just getting tired of it all, which is a shame because I want to love this game.
