As far as I can tell, it only works for the zone you're in and is therefore useless. I completely agree that we need a FP finder system, even if its just a chat channel (and all the spam that entails).

BW is really going too far to keep this game on the rails, to the point of really diminishing the MMO atmosphere. I'm playing this with my guild from Rift and it doesn't feel different from when we played Skyrim together. We're all just having a single-player experience and telling each other about it.

Why not doing bioWare Flashpoint finder system? This too primitive system and only waste our time.

I dont want do LFM or LFG spam in general chat. This boring..

Regards

Because this is a single player RPG trying to pretend its a MMO!

the lack of socialising in this game is horrid and hte very reason I wont be around come the end of the free month- they more then welcome to keep the fanbois! :)

star wars fans never been ones to socialise though.

It is very hard to find a group for a single flashpoint

As i see many people/ppl avoid them cause maybe are too hard or they just not can find ppl to join in.

even in beta was this a problem

My Advice to Bioware is:

Implement Flashpoint Finder System ( A System that automatic finds a group for you)

I agree, they need to have a flashpoint finder system that not only locates a group for you but also designated DPS, Tank, and Healer, having unbalanced groups is difficult enough. The system is too primitive and for the money spent for the mmo, the group play is unfortunately lacking in my opinion.

I also want to state that this is likely the same case with the heroic missions as well. Once the MMO high has been gone and the game population begins to be more stable it will be increasingly harder for players in lower levels to group into heroic missions and flashpoints.

FLASH POINT FINDER / HEROIC FINDER AUTOMATED SYSTEM IS A MUST!

Just saying...

On my server I haven't had a problem finding groups for flashpoints. Its too early in the game to set this up. Servers need to populate and mature for a bit. A lot of MMO's wont ship with a LFG for dungeons/instances. Joining a guild is an easy solution if you cant find people.

Don't you know? Going into general and spamming LFM for hours is "socializing" and "builds server community." Something that any sort of flashpoint finder system destroys.

/sarcasm

You Have Right, it can destroy the social part of the game

But on the other hand, people will stop playing the game if they not can find a group to Flashpoints or Heroic Quests,

No one wants to spamm general chat 8 hours in a row everyday to get a group

Server wide LFG channel/search function is fine, and certainly something we would want to see. In fact it is something that builds community through enhanced opportunities for cooperation.

However total anonymous, automated systems are anti-community and increase the threat of community obliterating cross server lfg systems.

IF the latter is ever introduced, I'm gone.

I dont think im the only one, but it gets soo anoying waiting in the imperial fleet to do a dungeon quest because my voice doesnt get heard enough, so i just go and quest for a bit longer. My items rank is rubbish, and we all know awsome items are found in dungeons which you then show off to everyone else and can do quests easier.

Anywho, baisically i hope they make a dungeon finder because waiting is boring, does anyone else agree with me?

Saying this thread is incredibly common, would still be an incredible understatement.

There should be a LFD, A cross server one to boot, with the option to opt out of it via server selection(certain servers should not have cross server capabilities). I could go into detail on this, and to sum it up, It'd work simply with some servers working in a hive of 30-40 servers which que together, while 10-20 servers lack any cross server capabilities at all, but there's a very tall thread here on this topic.

Good, albeit long boring read. You'll see how divided we are on our opinions there for whats best for this game, but the answers ultimately(both). Some folks won't put up with it, while some won't play without it. Understandably to both as well.

Cross server LFG/DFs lead to zero accountability of Ninja-looting. If they are forced to stay on their home server, eventually Ninjas stop getting invited to groups.

I am diametrically opposed to any cross-server PvE options.

LFG auto-queue was one of the single largest factors that caused a huge decline in Rift, and crippled WoW.

And now you people want it here? Cool story.

Thats odd cause i seem to recall wow going from 5m roughly to 10m roughly about the time they added a dungeon finder. Yup thats the def of crippled.

It took almost 5 years for Blizz to implement a dungeon finder in WoW! Nobody complained and threatened to leave the game because of that. Now everyone just wants a copy of WoW

but with lightsabers and spaceships. Next thing you will ask will be arena and pandas...

Just join a guild, problem solved.

Awful solution is awful.

1) There will be times when guild members are not online and / or do not want to do a flashpoint when you do. The rebuttal may be "oh join a large guild." Well, a lot of us don't like that for a plethora of reasons. So endure the idiocy of a large guild or...?

2) Due to the fact that this is a new game, guilds are not established yet. I joined one guild shortly after launch and left after a couple days. It was a bad fit. Mostly because the guild leader recruited everyone and their dog. That wasn't my thing. Since then, no guild worth consideration is in need of a tank at present. So I should re-roll or not do flashpoints, then?

Terrible, terrible solution bro.

Yet instead of socializing you want the game to find a group for you. Brilliant.

Socializing isn't sitting in Org jumping up and down.

I run a guild with ~25 people in it. Not too big or small, and we all help each other when we need to run a FP or Heroics regardless of the level gap. We are well established, and have been for about 7 years, but we also have new people. Granted, finding the "right fit" can be a challenge sometimes, but a FP finder is a step away from community and socializing imo.

25 people is too big.

And no, FP finder is not a step away from community and socializing. All it eliminates is general channel spam of LFM or LFG. Which, despite protestations from some users on the forums, is not socializing nor does it build community. What you do WITHIN the group is socializing and builds community. This is not impeded in ANY WAY by a finder.

Agreed, Though I wish to post my own reason. I'm horribly uncharismatic and have trouble finding a guild without doing server only 5 mans. At least a good one anyways, and usually when I DO join one I'm still trapped doing 5 man randoms with random people because im new and no one knows me in the place.

This is not the WORK all solution for everyone. sorry.
