My guild is currently struggling on Firebrand and Stormcaller's enrage timer on HM difficulty. While doing the fight tonight on Story mode we killed Firebrand with Stormcaller still at 5%. Stormcaller did not appear to enrage once his partner in crime died. Every strat guide I have found however states they will enrage if the other dies beforehand.

 

So my question is was it a lucky bug on our parts, or has everyone just assumed that they will enrage when the other dies because every other 2 boss fight in the game has that mechanic? Thanks for any help.

After further research it seems when firebrand dies first stormcaller begins spam casting ultimate destruction. Would anyone out there be able to give me some details on what this is and what the Firebrand equivalent to this ability would be.

Don't remember offhand, we killed both at exactly same time. Keep them both at same hp all the way down but finish with Stormcaller first, then Firebrand.

If you kill stormcaller first, after 10 or 15 seconds firebrand goes into what appear to be a permenant defensive systems where he takes 90% less damage.

Ya. If you kill firebrand first then Stormcaller does ultimate destruction on everyone (a big dot)

Kill them at the same time.
