drop rate for me has been, and not even joking - 1-2% at hardmode.

Recommended Posts

anyone else done false emepror 15 times without drop?

or had to do taral V 15 times without drop?

or maelstorm?

or esselse?

or battle for ilum

Or done 8 operations - karagga and ev and never got a drop?

Either im the most unluckiest guy in this f'ing game or else the drop rate sure as hell isnt 25%.

Imagien if someone gaved you per of card in poker 60 times in a row, and not even once did you get pair, you wouldnt suspect cheating?

Please tell me that my game is bugged or a patch is coming, or just cancel my subscribtion now, or rather how about I do it for you unless I get a gosh darn reply soon.

You are unlucky, Random Loot is Random

This is an irresponsible response. If you don't have time to do research on the topic, don't reply.

@ OP, Check many of the other threads about improper loot distribution (you're not alone!)

It's not an irresponsible response.

Even if groups go 40, 50, 60+ times without a drop for a specific class... that's all within the bounds of random. Those threads do not prove RNG is broken.

so by your logic, if someone play at a slot machine for 10 years and never win, the machine isnt broken?

at some point you got to wonder, the drop chance for me has been so far 1.7% you think thats reasonble?

I mean, if I say head for head or tail, on a coin, and throw it up in the air 60 times and it ends up with head, you will suspect I have a certain technique.

It doesn't matter if I think it's reasonable or not. No content in any of the threads --- nor this thread --- have been able to put forth definitive proofs that RNG is broken (and in this case, burden of proof is on them).

You're just unlucky. It doesn't mean random is broken.

and as I said, you would still claim the slot machine isnt broken, because there is always a chance you can't win. so even if you never win for 10 years, its working as intended.

see the problem here? you know there is a chance you cant win, so no matter what the results are, it will never be broken for you.

but hey, im not some crazy person, I realise its def possible that my droprate can be 1.7%.

but is the game working as intended then?

Just letting you know, i'm not going to respond to you anymore. You're in over your head on this subject, and has been documented by more people than necessary.

It's bugged. Plain and simple. The threads with the mathematics behind them are there. The odds of this issue happening to one person is astronomical given the 25% across the board drop rates. However, it's happening to thousands of people. Thus, not astronomical. If an anomaly happens more frequently than the expected, it is no longer an anomaly.

Feel free to respond, I won't be responding to you.

To all those still interested in the math behind this bug, feel free to check the link posted in the comments above.

No, its not working as intended. Groups that run together in sets of 4 have issues with their loot seeds being reset. My group was actually able to figure out what player having lead would result in what would drop. However, after about 2 days of doing this, the seeds reset to something else.

The Bounty Hunter lead would would always get Warrior gear, now gets Cunning Gear. The Warrior who always got Aim gear, is now getting Inquisitor gear (90%+ of drops, all HMs completed every day). This is not random, period. And, as i said, you're not alone. Bioware has yet to comment on this issue.

Also, the people who run in groups of 4 also have issues with Social Points being frozen. These 2 bugs may or may not be connected to eachother (Ive been stuck at 1768 for 2 weeks now).

bad analogy, or maybe it's a good one, but casinos are not regulated per individual machine, they're regulated by the combined payouts of all the machines on the floor. In essence, a casino can have a machine that never pays out (like the ones nearest the entrances) as long as they have others that make up for it. Random is random, and every raid/HMFP that I've seen has dropped the appropriate amount of loot and it's been distributed to someone in the group.

But to answer your original question, yes, I've probably done TFE 10+ times without getting the chest piece. Had several times it dropped the chest for a class that wasn't present in the group. I actually got 2 off-class chest pieces simply because everyone in the group rolled greed because no one could use it. I ended up buying the Chest with commendations. Random is random and I never saw anything that would indicate otherwise, although I do wish they would code in limitations so that FPs will only drop loot usable by the present classes (ie if no smuggler in the group, all smuggler drops are taken out of the loot table).

You just admitted your argument has no substance.

I've never said it's not astronomical. This is the nature of random. That 25% number is also meaningless.

When all of these threads definitively prove RNG is broken, then there's a discussion to be had. Until then it's nothing but entitled whining because no one seems to understand how random works.
