Shooting at the ship's turret's been done already mate.

 

Kantner... that has already been done and we've discovered the trick to doing it. I'm quite surprised you would post something like this. We're running by an honor system here but I guess you can't expect that from everyone.

I was not aware of such a system, sorry about that. I did not see anything on the post. Perhaps this would be a bit more legitimate:

I can understand how easy it can be to be undetected in Kuat, with 2 extra ships in remote locations, and why that would be easy for anybody to do.

 

But how about in Lost Shipyards?

There is only one ship, which means people would see me, and I would have to kill them.

 

To be honest it seems very hard to determine who is or is not farming the ship. The accuracy is the same, and if you have high enough kills and assists who is to say you didn't farm the ship some.

 

The person with the most K+A is Xi'ao - Dark Sith'ari - GSS-3 Mangler - The Shadowlands - 53 kills and assists, to me that should be the most damage. Anyone else was probably killing either normal turrets or ship turrets.

 

 

Anyways, I was just hilariously amused that I could actually destroy a ship turret. I'll bring this post to a close with a fun statistic:

 

67 fully charged railgun shots = 1 ship turret kill

1 missile from your class ship = 1 ship turret kill

 

I wanna fly my BT-7 Thunderclap now :)

There is nothing to gain from farming the capital ship to fluff yourdamage done for the leaderboards. afaik you don't get more objective points from farming the capital ship turret and get you dont get any more medals past 30K(?) total dmg as well. Edited by paowee

I noticed the ship turrets do not respawn once destroyed, so if one had enough gunships, the spawn point could be completely undefended from all angles.

 

A bit out there in terms of strategy, but it would be a neat upgrade for the meta-game if you needed to protect the ship as well as the satellites. If you leave your ship undefended, then the enemy could blockade you and take the satellites with ease.

After 67 fully charged railgun shots -.- So that puts one capital ship turret at roughly 107,200 hp.
