Speeder Bikes (revamp system?)

I have decided I want to discuss speeder bikes in their current implementation and offer suggestions. I personally think they currently move too slowly, and that for only a 10% or so increase in speed...I see no reason to spend 330k credits for level 3 speeders. This system needs to be looked at, because its really a rip off and underwhelming right now.

I suggest that every tier of speeder training gives a +30% speed increase. So entry level speeders remain at their current speeds right now...but when you pay bigger bucks you notice a sweet increase in speed.

I also think that the current speeders lack variety, so I would like to give Bioware ideas or inspiration for new speeders.

Above is the dual fin design type, which looks really Old Republic style and cool. I suggest taking heavy inspiration from it, some varieties like chrome/or whatever. While it looks like it could be rather large, there is no player/speeder collision detection in game so who cares really.

A design inspired by the classic Skywalker speeder would be cool...obviously dont design one too similar.

The other last thing, is that the current speeder sound effects are really underwhelming. They are too quiet, lack an acceleration/deceleration should effect. I suggest creating at least 5 sound variants, each unique and powerful and distribute them across the speeders. Im sure everyone remembers how vehicles in Star Wars had character, Sebulbas Podracer had a sound everyone should remember.

Going faster, and sounding louder or more robust, would be more reasons to avoid Fleet Station. Bad enough some speeders are the size of Ford LTD's clambering down small walkways and staircases... but to make them faster, and louder as they drone at the GTN?

If bioware eliminates speeder use while on fleet station, then I would fully support your ideas.

They should just remove speeders from the station entirely. Its laggy enough as it is without players zipping around and spawning speeders.

Either way, the sound of your own speeder should be loudest because your character is supposed to be on it. The sound of it is already heavily subdued and boring.
