Hi folks,

 

Essentially, posting about the current population situation with mainly Master Dar'Nala servers.

 

I know f2p is around the corner, and that may boost population and what not. But I'm sitting here at 10 pm, on a saturday night, and 60 people on the fleet, imperial fleet this is as well, and nobody is looking for anything etc, Q's are taking quite a while.

 

There's not really a healthy scene here at all atm. Which sucks 1000 balls cause I'm possibly the biggest fan of this video game. With the inevitable GW2 release, there's gonna be quite a number of people leaving, I for one know multiple guilds that are going, I'm quite genuinely worried that this server is going ghost town real soon, and real fast.

 

Now I'm pretty certain that the PVE server, Dalborra has a little bit going for it population wise, but still not amazing as far as I know, so it could be great for the two servers to merge.

 

I think it's time to merge, and time to merge fast.

 

My question to Master Dar'Nala is, would you guys think it's time to merge to the PVE servers? Really, the only thing we'd be sacrificing is the occasional gank fest and really, not much else :/

 

And my question to Dalborra, do you guys likewise think this would be a good idea?

speaking from a player on Dalborra and a server merge has actualy come up a fair bit in general chat on the fleet and alot actualy support it, i mean most who are at lv 50 pvp and do so quite alot. being that our server doesn't have the greatest numbers i for one welcome this a merge of the PVE and PVP server would serve both servers greatly but let the role players keep there own. it wouldn't be fair to them to be teased and trolled all day like because they choose to roleplay.

 

as it stands there are several guilds who actualy take the time to organise events in Ilum, The Black Hole and The Outlaws Den, and do so quite regularly so the pvpers would have more then enough chance to pvp outside of warzones, although it does restrict them actualy ganking lowbies anytime they want which is mostly why players play the pvp servers ( be honest guys you know thats the case ).

 

if Bioware doesn't choose to merge the two servers i say all pvpers come on over you will not be disapointed

100 Percent agreed about the RP server, you put it fairly blunt, but it's true.

 

But yeah, I really think this would be the best possible option for APAC SWTOR.

I'm on Gav Daragon, and I have to say there's not actually a lot of roleplaying there; there are a couple of guilds who specialise in it, and hold events every now and then, but it's not exactly an obvious feature of play on the server.

 

That said, do people on non-RP servers really give other people grief if they choose to roleplay? Would it really become an issue if the APAC servers were to merge? If you spam General Chat with roleplaying messages, you deserve (and earn) a thorough mocking, even on Gav Daragon. But opening a channel and getting your RP on? Who'd bother objecting to that?

 

I like the idea of merging the servers; more people to buy my ridiculously overpriced GTN fodder.

Merging 2/3 will IMHO effectively kill the third.

 

I would suggest either a merge of all three or an option of server transfers.

I for one Second Merging of APAC Servers, the population rate is of the server (Master Dar'Nala) is pitiful most nights. And this in turn makes a cascade effect on most players seeing the low numbers, to log on less often and eventually quit.

 

We need a merge or the game will die in the APAC areas with the upcoming GW2 and the above mentioned, despite any 1.4 etc patches.

A merge of the PVP and PVE servers would be great. As stated above, its not like we will loose much in World PVP anyway.....I can't remember the last time I stumbled across a republic player out in the wild.

More numbers would be great! When we first got aussie servers, we have like 300 people on fleet at one time, however now in prime time its like about 80....

 

bring on the server merge so we dont gotta wait 30 mins for a group finder or pvp pop

Pretty much the entire oceanic community is going to leave very soon if no merges inc! its a joke now on Master D cant even play my 3 toons with legacy level 44 koz no one is EVER ON!

I am quite angry as well, right now, 2 people on Tatoine (including me...).

 

With the high number of posts regarding the APAC merge request from the community and the only reply from BW "we will look into it in the next few days" posted a few weeks back, my patience is really starting to run out.

 

What is the status BW? Waiting on F2P? Having a tech problem? Some concerns?

I know myself and my guild on Master Dar'Nala are 100% for a merge to an APAC "superserver". However i can't see anything happening until F2P launches...that said, it would be nice to have an update or something
