Jarnuk Posted August 9, 2012 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Been running around the Harbinger Server and I keep hearing people mention the APEX strat for Gharj in EV. Ive never been in a group that knows what it was and when i ask in general, they say it requires a physical explanation. bmcinvaille Posted August 9, 2012 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Ive run with the APEX members before in a GF SM EV and they mentioned it but decided against it because our group was too melee heavy. It involves keeping Gharj at the front of the cave entrance (right after the last fire cat pull) which puts all the melee directly in front of him, thus soaking up all his frontal cleaves so they say they only do that strat when they have a mostly ranged group. USCG_Davis Posted August 10, 2012 Share Posted August 10, 2012 Im the acting GM of APEX while our GM is on his honeymoon and we came up with the strat the first time we 4 manned SM EV. It makes the enrage timer a non-factor because you keep your dps going the entire time. We then started using it in PuG's with undergeared healers. It makes their life much easier. To those saying its a waste of time and just learn the normal strat, i see where youre coming from but its just another mechanic. Everyone has their own preferred strat and we've found it makes Gharj more of a joke than he already is. Its just like aoe healing for the annihilator droid compared to hiding behind the pillars. As long as your tank keeps him out of the cave and your dps burns the adds (shout out to orbital strike), this strat makes life incredibley easy.
