New to the community here and im installing the game as i type. I definitely want to play a sorcerer but id like to do a hybrid class while leveling to 50 that would allow me to DPS well and heal ok during solo play, while strictly healing for dungeon/heroic groups. At level cap i plan to spec straight heals.

Does anyone have experience with a good build (other than the given 5 points in lightning), or is this request even viable? Id like to learn a good amount about the gameplay of both talent trees while leveling to 50. I couldnt find any threads related directly to this question in the 10 pages i looked through.

My sorc does fine on DPS solo - especially with a companion and is specced almost straight heals (2 pts in each of the other trees I think at level 27).

I am tempted by the lure of a hybrid spec with chain lightning but keep picking the heal tree goodies instead.
