like the title says, i want to get into RP. I've never done it before, but seems like it could be really fun. im hoping someone can help me get into it, maybe show me the ropes?

I don't RP and don't know much about it. I tried it once a long time ago, and the experience was horrible .

 

A few words of advice :

 

1- Abuse , sexual harassement etc...shouldn't be hidden or justified behind ''We are RPing man! Go with it!'' . If you feel unconfortable, you have every right to be . No idiot behind a screen get to dictate some imaginary rules .

 

2- Don't give your personal infos that include the usual credit cards , your personal adress, your email . But also, personal infos like your kids names , ages...too many pedofeel outta there .

 

3- Be careful . everything should have a limit . Use common sense , and remember you can always walk away and report the person .

One advise from a roleplay person, do not tie your character into a powerful person (Revan, Luke, Valkorian, etc) and don't be afraid to take a hit or be hurt but as the person stated before set boundaries for your character. I.E. They cannot be killed, etc without prior permission.

 

Find a group that works for you as some just don't fit. We had one at the beginning, though it was forum roleplay and we had fun but we were friend prior so we had a little more leeway than some will just starting out.
