What is the pest way to gear for PVP and Ops? Should I have two sets of gear. One with nothing but Power and ACC for PVP and then another for Ops with some crit and Alacrity thrown in?

I juts hit 300cmd exp and starting to get a full set of 248's from raiding etc... Also returned form the game after a year break.

DPS Madness and sometimes Heals but thats a whole different topic.

you should first settle on which spec you want to use, if you want to use multiple specs then you need additional gear set since set bonus is really nice.

ever since gear got merged for both pvp/pve the stats disparity between both has decreased to the point where pvp gear stats will work fine in pve.

google 5.0 sorc guides and find out what stats you need. usually all classes now focus on crit > alacrity > mastery/power

the best way would be to get a team and have one person queue for only Hammer station Master mode, while you queue for the full flash-points, which will give you the daily bonus every-time; max out your legacy CXP and use the 100% CXP boost, and you will level up pretty fast. Hammer stations will take about 10-12 mins with a good team. No other activity will net you the same amount of CXP in such a short time.

The problem with PvP/PVE gearing is accuracy. Accuracy is not needed for PvP, which makes it a wasted stat since you could have substituted it for power or mastery. The trick would be to have 2 sets of ear pieces and implants, and maybe two off-hand weps for PvP/PvE.

You would essentially use accuracy augments with the ear pieces and implants that has accuracy for PvE, If not you might have to put a accuracy enhancements in your main/off hand and have two sets of those as well. So, you don't need a full set of gear for both, you just need to get a few different pieces for each activity.
