Durge was one element of the previous Clone Wars fiction that I really wish had made it into the Clone Wars TV show. (Although if it really had to be an either/or decision, I'm glad they went with Ventress, but there was definitely room for everyone's favorite Gen'Dai too)

I would have liked to have seen a more "grounded" depiction of him in action on-screen, as opposed to the hyper-stylized version we got in the Clone Wars shorts. He was definitely one of the best characters of the Republic comics.
Given the choice whether to rule a corrupt and failing empire or to challenge the fates for another throw, a better throw, against one's destiny, what was a king to do?
But does one ever truly have a choice? One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate, and thus defy the tyrannous stars.
