Here have some candy....cause it's so sweet. I'm just trying to fill in some of the blanks from my consular Elliah's life, and what's happened to her during the time FoW: Ties that bind happens.
It was early morning, too early even for Elliah, but up she was, woken by the acrobatics of the child she was carrying inside her. She laid her hand on her stomach, after Avacynne she never expected to have any more children, she never expected to experience pregnancy and actually find joy in it. She had been a scared girl and Padawan of nineteen the last time a babe had stirred in her womb, abandoned by the man who had claimed to love her and presented with an impossible choice. It felt like a lifetime ago, she could have kept her baby, and she would have been expelled from the order, to a life where she had nothing and no one. She chose to give her baby over to the Jedi order, where she might have a life, and Elliah was permitted to continue her training. Now as a Jedi Master, Council member even, the order had given her leave to marry and have children, trusting her to stay true to the spirit of the Jedi code. As such she savored every moment of this pregnancy.
Felix rolled over laying a possessive arm across her chest curling his body around hers. Theirs was an easy and simple love, founded on uncomplicated joys, they were each other’s refuge in the storm that was the greater galaxy. Elliah moved his hand down to her bobbing and rolling stomach, and she smiled when the babe kicked at his father’s hand. It actually woke Felix.
“What?” His voice groggy with sleep.
“Baby says good morning.” Elliah whispered back.
Felix rubbed her belly affectionately, “shhh baby, go back to sleep.” His eyes were already closing, sleep reclaiming him. He was back to softly snoring in a matter of minutes.
The baby had no intentions of going back to sleep and decided to use Elliah’s bladder as a springboard. She was up, and after using the fresher settled on the rocking chair in the living room. She pulled out her yarn and needles, laying the finished part of the blanket over herself for warmth. She rocked quietly while she knitted, hoping the simple movement would lull her unborn child back to sleep. Felix found her some hours later fast asleep in the rocking chair. He laid the soft cream coloured blanket and needles back in her bag, and managed to gently lift her and bring her back to bed. He tucked her in softly, careful not to touch the growing bump lest he wake their already active baby again. He kissed her cheek and went to the kitchen, ready to start his day.
