in order to scare the population into obedience; which, in all likelihood, would have backfiered badly - we only would have given them mortars to rally behind. So I decided to change the rigging a little, planting the explosives only in the dead rebels' weaponry. So the only victims would be actual resistance members when they try to retrieve their weapons.
Such callous disregard for collateral damage was too evil for me.
On the other hand, on one of Vette's personal quests, I discovered that
her mother was enslaved by a Hutt who had literally worked her to death. I chose what any Sith would do - revenge. Vette actually dropped a bunch of affection points with me and later seemed depressed and remorseful (the quest was done without my involvement in battle - the Hutt was murdered "off-screen" by Vette and her sister). But even though she wasn't happy with me, this was the right thing to do.
Killing the guy who caused the death of Vette's mother wasn't too evil for me.
So it really depends. I'm neutral right now, but I have fallen to Dark I once or twice.
It may have been right to you, but it wasn't right for her to do that. Hence why she ended up like that, after you told her to do so.
