  1. Just an update, Darkstance has since moved over to The Progenitor Server when the mergers happend, were very active and especially welcome ex swg players
  2. SWG spanked TOR on everything except combat and story, end of discussion.
  3. Acheivements are just cheap sucker features to keep you playing, "Do this for three months and we'll give you a little bit of text saying how awesome you are" doesnt thrill me tbh, I kinda expect a little more actual development for my money than adding a few lines of text and calling it a "feature", thier going the right way with Makeb, least thats content, but feature wise for the regular "updates" there not innovating, thier just padding it out with stuff thats super easy to code, and will distract the easily amused or obsessive completionists for a few months, giving them little of any actual worth for thier efforts. I love Bioware, i reckon thier probably the best developer on the planet, many of thier games are legendary, but the way thier going about TOR is baffling at times tbh :/
  4. Same, ive had this "one off mail" three times now, what are they thinking.
  5. I didnt say i spoke for everyone mate, perhaps it sounded that way by how i typed it, but there is a large amount of blindingly obvious feature requests that seem to be getting utterly ignored for the sake of mild but ultimatly rather pointless appeasements like acheivements.
  6. Wow i cant beleive thier expending energy on this pointless padding. Cant you focus yourselves on more actual useful features like better guild management tools, or any number of the countless things other mmo's take for granted and have been asked for by your players from day 1 no wonder TOR is so second rate, when the likes of Elder scrolls online comes out, its going to get utterly thrashed, and i really dont want to see that happen, but atm, only my guild and the Star Wars license is keeping me here (especially as I cant go back to SWG)
  7. I'm sorry, but none of what ive seen there so far regarding this cartel nonsense is rocking my world atm, if this is just going to be a cosmetic item store with a few quirky pets and daft animations, then it wont keep my interest for long, how about after you release this silly justification for a subscribers cash, you get back to whats really important, and i dont just mean endless new operations or warzones, its time to go back to brass tacks gentlemen and work on the mmo basics youve neglected to impliment so far as the list is endless (really need guildmail, and far better guild management tools / features) for starters. I can only hope they announce something epic soon about thier super secret space project, and it better be for subscribers only, after all, its us lot paying for its development, if its been dropped in favour of crass outfits and gimmicks with the occassional new operation every 6 weeks, your going to loose a lot interest from subscribers.
  8. I agree with Cerb here, though tbh, i wouldnt pay a dime of real money for the imperial Armour set, its social clothing ment primarily for RP and those who simply like the look of it, as for it being a CE exclusive, tbh its a very lame exclusive and i dont think many people would ***** if it went in game as a schematic, or purchasable social item, lets face it most players didnt get the CE edition for this in game armour which until 1.3 is pretty much useless to anyone outside of RP. I think Bioware have a real cheek showcasing players in imp armour for thier 1.3 rollout when only the ones who bought the CE can get it, all social items should be available to everyone if your going to promote 1.3 as an improvement to social gear, anything less is just short changing your community. I can live with it if they allow you to "buy access" to the CE vendor, though only ever for in game creds and not rl cash, or at the very least, make social gear tradable so the CE people can make some nice cash out of it, or give them the oppertunity to pass on these items to thier friends and guildmates.
  9. We ported over mainly due to having no choice (thanks a lot SOE) Guild - Darkstance (DS) Swg server - Europe Chimaera TOR server - Trask Ulgo Weve been active since 2005, formally an Imperial roleplay guild, we also ran chimaera's primarily respected space PVP unit (DSIN). Were cover everything in TOR, though would be nice to know whos in the neighbourhood from SWG on our server. Beep Markonus in game for a chat or to join, we very much welcome ex-SWG vets, we have several already from outside our guild signed with us, and some who recognise us from chimaera, which is nice.
  10. Well, 1.2 should make the game more like it should have been at release, though i expect it will introduce a crapload of bugs, and another 4 months of never ending complaints
  11. I'm one of many who detested the GCD changes they made, im very happy they've listened to the community and acted on it swiftly, for once a step in theb right direction, well done Bioware. Cant we have a cooldown effect off option though, i dont like the counters at all tbh and was happier with the old hotbar Oh and must there be a cooldown effect on abilities that arent on cooldown? cant you limit it to abilities that need it rather than virtually the whole hotbar lighting up, my speeder for example defo doesnt need a cooldown effect
  12. Will you be implimenting Chat Bubbles anytime in the near future?, as a Roleplayer i consider them rather vital, and they are a staple feature of almost all mmo's, i'd very much like to see them utilised in SWTOR.
  13. 4 hours for 1 fix?, do they break for a 3 hour lunch or what?, Eve Online does brilliant, and much more massive hotfixs with very little downtime, i guess thats the tradeoff having 20 million servers rather than one cluster
