i just joined, and so far i LOVE the combat system for jedi knight.
i think its far superior to a warrior in wow.
i tried LOTR yesterday, and altho it has a lovely atmosphere, the combat sucked a bit.
so imo SWTOR has the best melee combat system of any mmo that ive tried.
i just joined, and so far i really like the community.
i find it better on the rp server than the pvp server. its great to have a ciggie break and watch the chat, which is something i never did on wow.
what do you do during server maintenance ?
kind of a sad question perhaps as it reveals my obsession with this game.
i was supposed to be doing some chores but instead i downloaded another mmorpg- tera.
i didnt like tera... the characters are very nice, esp the high elves, but im a clicker and this is the kind of game you can only play with keybindings or a controller.
i do it for a lot of reasons.
to get better at playing, to become comfortable with my class, to level up so i have an advantage with rare mobs, for relaxation, to get money and mats, and most importantly because i have shocking ocd
1. auto target nearest mob actually targets the nearest mob.
2. rewards for grinding insane amounts.
3. jar jar binks. *
*edit. i changed my mind, i want more holograms.
i never group, even when i was playing wow.
im scared to **** up and let someone die. what i do is go back to the heroic +2 when i am a bit higher and solo it.
or, if there are other people about, help them out but without grouping.
i have 0 social points. lol.
i dont mind that tho. its just not my thing.
maybe i will gain my confidence over time. ive only been playing SWTOR for 3 days (and loving every second).
i love grinding, and find it really good practice.
i made a jedi knight, and by the time i had got to level 12 i felt that i was just pressing anything that lit up.
so i made a new character and grinded with it until i was completely comfortable with the abilites at each level.
anyone else like to do this ?
well, i right click the first one... kill it, then kill the next one that shows red... this can be the nearest or sometimes it selects one which is a bit farther than the nearest.
im not sure how to do the tab thing... maybe that would work better... how do i do that ?
will have a go and see if i find it better.
cheers
ok, i just started playing SWTOR 3 days ago and am very, very impressed.
there is only one small fault that i have encountered so far:
i have "target nearest mob automatically" enabled.
what ive found is that instead of targeting the nearest, most usually it will target one that is further away.
any ways around this ?
thanks.
