  1. Oh, just returned so that's why everyone is running around with Mercs. Well, FOTM is nothing new. It'll change next month, the next and the next and so on. Patches, hotfixes, updates are all part of MMO's. Don't worry it'll change soon enough and you will either be happy or upset. They aren't morons, they are just dealing with exactly what every MMO deals with, the only difference is this is the first company MMO so they have many more hurdles to learn than a developed MMO company. Just relax and enjoy, I get having that many mercs can be frustrating but they can DPS and Heal and I don't see how it can get you so angry. You can't tell others how to play the game and if they want to PvP whilst playing as a Merc they have every right. If you don't like that then you can either stop PvPing for the current time till an acceptable patch is made or gather an organized group with a more enjoyable composition for yourself.
  2. Just came back myself after a couple years off. I didn't reroll. I primarily play a healer so I've got a general idea how my classes work. Helps too that I wasn't Lv70 (Lv30-50) so I got to relearn my class as I releveled. Now I've got 3 70's to run around with and fairly happy with the builds. I personally wouldn't delete the characters, since you can keep so many characters on the server. If you feel you have to relearn a class by starting over do so but Lv 25 isn't that hard to grasp. You could probably run around doing story missions and get it pretty quickly. Not like you have that many buttons to remember. The only reason to restart would be if you've forgotten the story, for me I got the grasp of the story within minutes of returning but if you get the story just keep going. I did transfer off to Shadowlands from Harbinger and Jedi Covenant, mainly to join a friend on that server. Hearing news that Harbinger is having problems and low population so I may have made the right choice there.
  3. You do, my question wasn't if the can use them. It was if they can use them effectively at high levels. As I stated I've read some significant abilities are unusable when using an electrostaff over a saberstaff
  4. Can Shadow / Assassins use Vibrostaves/Electrostaves effectively? I have seen Marauders running around seemingly in abundance with Vibroswords but not much else. I've read that some abilities don't work without lightsabers but those posts were from 2012-2014 so I don't know if they've changed it at all. I really would like to use the classic Vibrostaff so I am hoping that it won't be an issue.

    Shadowlands PvP

I've just recently resubbed to the game and moved my characters over to Shadowlands. While I've been enjoying leveling with the 250% XP boost. One of my favourite past times has been seemingly impossible to join, PvP. I've been doing FPs and I've tried waiting around for PvP queues (5-10min) to no avail. Since I no longer know the dynamic of the game I come here. Shadowland, Specifically is there PvP? How prevalent is the PvP? Is there unranked matches or are most now doing ranked? Is it only high-rank PvP or is there lower level PvP? What is the general time of activity? (EST) In all honesty, it could just be a severe drop in PvP activity due to the XP event but I am concerned as I do enjoy myself some good old fashion fisticuffs with my fellow gamers online. Any clarity on the standing of PvP in SW:TOR and Shadowlands would be great. Thank you in advance. Cheers.
  6. SWG was the one game OP should've looked at and yes it did play out better no matter how much people say it didn't. I think that the era is a great fit for bioware as they released the previous two games in the ToR series they aren't going to go and expand on an over used era that has no room for imagination they are going to stick with their bread and butter which is prior to the movies era. It just allows them to expand their Star Wars universe from the first two games.
  7. I have to agree I don't like pay to win models. Although I have read from the forums and my understanding is this is not what they will be releasing what they intend is simply cosmetic things to begin with and a F2P buy expansions idea, what I just read earlier in their community Q&A was that they will allow players who are F2P to buy acces to the content subscibers have via cartel coins. This allows them to play the game the way they want. It's a F2P game with of course restrictions but F2P will give benefits to subs and allow F2P players the ability to purchase game modes and other things. Yes in a sense pay to play but at the same time they can play the game all they want they just don't have access to the things that are in sense subscriber perks. No company can survive going completely F2P. Just saying.
  8. What this man said. Nothing can be perfect.
  9. I've played since day 1 of the games launch and I've played 13 days Ya
  10. Anyone know when the new updates are coming out? I heard they'll be increasing level cap this year, adding a new race, companion and I'm curious to when the game goes F2P I have some friends I want to get into this but won't play till it's F2P. Thanks, Fuzz.
  11. It works for him as he made it originally. Just doesn't work to use his methods. besides that I play it because I am waiting to see how F2P works after that I will decide if I want to continue I want to see what "perks" I get for being a subscriber
  12. Wrong. SOE lost their rights to run a Star Wars MMO from Lucas Arts as they wanted only 1 Star Wars MMO on the market therefore focusing much attention on the single cashgrab and no competition. I would've liked to see SWG come back luckily for all the people here who do want a SWG remake there is a completed SWG Pre-CU EMU and a SWG NGE on the way called ProjectSWG. I wish it was possible to get SWG back but most likely was shut down and servers erased with all data so they can move those servers towards any other of their many MMO's.
  13. Mine is the Original Legacy doesn't really go well with anything but I like it. Only goes well with the Founder title as it's My character Fuzzywuzzy Original Founder...makes me feel like I created something.
  14. Um being a former SWG player which had only 10 classes ( This one has 8 main and a total of 16) allowing people who get bored to switch classes to have a new experience for mind you free was not game breaking at all. Now If you take this game I rolled as a sage and I am sick and tired of it I want to be a shadow but I can't be unless I reroll a completely new consular and go through that boring storyline again? Seems pointless, honestly if they make between classes switching a possibility I can see problems because of the fact of different storylines. I see no problem in allowing people to switch AC gives them possibilities. What changes besides abilities and armor style? please tell me because if that's what is holding the idea back it's a horrible excuse.
