  1. I'm sorry but is anyone wondering how old this guy is? I'm reading the initial Post by the Op in a 15 yr olds voice. Please tell me he is 15 yrs old and that this isn't a grown man who's being this clingy and strange?
  2. Pollute our game? There are 100s of identical Lana Benikos running around on fleet. People with Karagga helms that look like the tip of a ***** and Rancors running wild on a space station. Let's be real here.
  3. " Hey guys if we grovel enough to Eric he might sprinkle some Content over our way". I hate *** kissers.
  4. You are going to seriously rate phantom menace and attack of the clones as standing ovation material? Hell if they removed the saber battle in phantom it would be 100% garbage. EP 7 isn't my top SW movie ( that goes to empire) but is sure isn't doo doo material like phantom menace. That movie only gets cringier as it ages; for god sakes the kid who played Anakin was shamed out of Hollywood.
  5. Exactly! Let's see... Luke uses the force to direct two large proton torpedoes into a tiny exhaust port without training. Luke taking on Vader with basically no formal training at all and actually landing a blow on Vader. I find it hilarious how people will attack this movie for things the prequels and OT did also.
  6. The fact that he is a villain in development, the Anakin that we wanted but never recieved because " sand is coarse", the fact that he isn't perfect and wooden like Maul. Maul was intimidating and fierce but he was a piece of cardboard as a villain. Kylo is our second chance at seeing a real Anakin downfall.
  7. With all due respect why does " challenge" always mean unfun? I have been seeing this exact same statement over and over. Players who like gameplay that challenges us also like to have fun as well.
  8. It's kind of crazy how arguments get repeated in certain MMOs. Any former COH players remember when this exact same topic was brought up in their forums? People made the exact same suggestions of gimping yourself on purpose as an excuse. What they finally did was add difficulty setting for instances and it actually did help.I miss COH's devs.... They actually weren't too high on their horses to speak directly to the players and ask for input.
  9. . I agree, the old system introduced more difficult mechanics and pulls as you progressed and was level bracketed so that you could learn with your peers. It wasn't perfect but it was a much better learning process then the garbage we have now. Now you go from pathetically easy single player to the utter chaos that are tacticals. It's the perfect storm for screwing over the new player base that actually wants to do group content ( however tiny that percentage is becoming). Best solution I can think of are WOWs proving grounds. Those could easily be placed into any of the characters lore. However instead of being only tests of competency it would also have instruction, sort of like an Xmen danger room. This simple addition would help to fix the current competency gap that the horrid single player experience is. You don't require players to splash around in a kiddy pool for 50 levels and then throw them into an Olympic pool.
  10. Pretty mind blowing honestly. Makes you really wonder how much they will continue to water this game down. What is the threshold/rock bottom of easy mode gameplay? COH used to be referred to as the game for the most casual of player bases. Comparing that game to this one makes COH seem hard. COH had actual consequences to risky gameplay.
  11. It really is your prerogative what you do with your personal time but IMO just because one has a job doesn't mean their hobby has to be blandly easy. Besides SWTOR I like to do indoor rock climbing and enjoy trying out the harder routes (that are way beyond my level usually). I'm not really singling out you I'm just frankly sick of people inferring that anyone who wants some semblance of challenge or engaging game play must be a teen or college kid with no responsibilities. For a lot of folks mindless easy and bland content ruins the story; imagine a video game version of the Luke and Vader fight in ESB being god awful easy like the fight with Arcann. Vader wouldn't be so imposing and intimidating as a villain would he? I suspect to a lot of folks that Arcann is a non threat with how laughably easy he was in both encounters.
  12. Back when games made for the masses like Final fantasy 7 would have actual hard as **** content. Even Sonic games had bosses that required mechanics that were deadly if not followed. These weren't "hardcore" games that neck beards in their mommy's basement would play. They use to be the norm not the exception, now it seems everyone wants a damn participation medal when it comes to video games. I'm 31 have a career and a wife and child, while I may not have the time that I used to have to put into these games I do appreciate good challenging content that rewards having a brain. The whole I'm older and now have responsibilities excuse that people make for nickelodeon kids level of game play is bogus. Having less grind is fine, I totally agree that grind is a cop out to having timely, interesting and engaging content. However, making things insultingly easy is also bad.
  13. How the hell does that work? How can someone who is so obviously clueless about how to play be that arrogant about it? Did she think she wasn't going to end up being kicked for sucking and for being arrogant about it.
  14. Haha, one omnislash and he's done. That is how you truly cheese sephiroth. ( can't wait for the remake).
  15. Wait.. You want a guild of people who play with each other for the enjoyment of ongoing OP development and challenges to stay and pay 15 bucks a month to a game that could care less about their interests? So they can teach new players about aging stale ops that may be the very last ones ever developed? Especially when a large portion of the community consideres progressive raiding guild players "elitist" and unimportant to the game population. Please, the writing is on the wall when it comes to folks who enjoy challenging gameplay/ raiding within a starwars environment. It says **** we aren't developing anything for you and you are not our target audience. So that's exactly what many of us did. Can you really blame them?
