  1. Dont you think its little off ? You start with mobs dying from 1-2 hits, and by the level 50, each pack is real 'encounter'. I agree that at start mobs should be "a bit" easier so player could learn, but the difference is so ridiculus, that even lv25 character gives false impression and fealing of class. Its common during class balance discussion, when someone come up with fe.: "My operative is only level 22 but .. " and there is opinon how cool class is and how good a fealing of it got. At around level 35-40, you start avoiding any mobs.. later even skip bonus quests if it involve killing silver quality mobs because its obnoxious. From around Hoth onward killing mobs takes much, much longer and flips classes upside down. your openers doesnt works as used to 'suddenly' you have to work hard on your resources, which were not a problem up until now you have to rest/heal up more often etc. I dont say its wrong (tho in some points it is), but the start is to easy, learning curve start goin up to slow, and gives wrong impression of class.
  2. Might be the "challange" you are trying to describe is the thing other calls as "more buttons". Because 'healing' component of healers job is fine as it is.. 1-3 more or less healing spells is matter of prefference and there is no point to discuss about it. The whole problem stands on utility. You heal, but nothing else. Those aspects of play i mentioned in previous posts.. only one point is about choosing correct spell for a task. Whole other aspects of 'support' role was cut out of SWTOR. Thats why we want to do more.. not more healing spells (tho for me it would be nice), but those utilities you use 1-3 times a fight each.
  3. And here kinda ends discussion with you =/ I dont know what you mean by 'reactive' if only thing you want to do is 'whack a mole' with your 2 spells. I also did play Holy priest, and now Im missing variety. I miss - placing Light Well in best position, - making decision if should I use Greater Heal, Flash heal or maybe binding heal when big bomb droped on tank. - throwing Shield with Body and Soul (speed buff) when someone have to kite something, - pulling someone out of sh.t with Leap of Faith, - poping Divine Hymn when things start to look realy grim.. .. thats what I call reactive healing. Not choosing who to heal with my single spell.
  4. Let me quote OP: Thats your resource menagement.. you DONT DO ANYTHING ELSE because you would go out of energy. Basicly you do 2x Underworld Medicine+Emergency Medpack then round of Diagnostic Scan.. whatever is happening.. you dont react to anything. You just do your static rotation, or else you run out of energy and is useless for next minute. Its probably easier/safer to let tank die and ress, than to run out of energy.
  5. Guild wars (PvP) - Secret World (PvE with no leveling) - SWTOR There you go. Guild wars got leveling, but it feels more like 'unlock system' of any modern multiplayer game.
  6. Whatever people say modern, in modern MMO real game starts at max level and many do expect it. However its not possible to make complex game without leveling. Shooters and MOBa games with just few 'abilities' might allow you access to full build character from start... but with 30+ abilities ?! The more complex are characters, the longer leveling have to be.. in some cases its bit overgrown, and developers stick closer to oldschool concept of 'leveling adventures', where a lots stuff happens, but character develops little. IMO, leveling process (as developig character to max potential) should be limited to minium .. instead game should offer 'adventure content' for characters at max level. People would split their patch as they wish.. some would keep questing and moving along story, rest would skip and go stright to what they like (PvE/Ops/etc).
  7. I have said it few times. Design of healers in this game, is how DPS sees healer in any other. "Soo .. healers just heals, right? Give them 2-3 heals and its done" Got feeling as if DEVs team have noone who plays support role in ANY games (since LoL supports got bigger depth to them, than swtor).
  8. These days I find hardly any reason to log in to the game.. I DONT PvP .. simply dont enjoy swtor model. I like PvE OPs very much .. but that takes no more than 3 evenings of entire week. I used to like to make alts.. but swtor doesnt support this more over 'hit 50 and drop'. Simply no PvE content to keep playing. Only players who keep queue to PvP zones or those who spent their time leveling hour a day may enjoy game for longer. I leveled almost 4 characters, but with non existant casual PvE content at max level there is nothing to do. Noone is doing Hardmodes unless its fast guild run, when somone is missing something badly... You may stay around for 2 hours in peek time, in fleet and 1-2 times somone will call hes looking for HM (funny its usualy tank or healer). This game need cross-server group finder fast.. think even server limited wont cut it.
  9. Think Legacy migt be something that will work out bad for swtor. Since people will try other classes, and get to know how much fun utility is. SWTOR is very badly balance around utility (tho think your list is incomplete and subjective).. I predict soon more and more people will switch to consular/inquisitor.. the only class with overstacked utilties, which gives sooo much freedom of gameplay and options for every occasion.
  10. If you like the game, then MOVE NOW! The loger you wait, the worse to move it gets. Plaing on server you dont have anything to do doesnt take you anywhere. On the other hand... Im on Lord Calypho server .. one of the biggest. You might wait hour in peek time and not single group is forming for Hard Modes. SWTOR is game for organised groups not for random pick ups and even on largest server you need guild to do anything... IF you have good, active guild, you might better stick to it.
  11. Many did wait for 1.2 as a Patch of last chance. I for example (scoundrel healer) have been waited for gameplay change. Healing in SWTOR is BOOOOOORING! Its shallow.. you just spam 1-3 spells and thats all you do. Patchnotes have shown that Bioware devs have no idea about support gameplay.. thats why I would quit just now. Since my sub last till 20th april I will give it chance .. maybe gear up my Sage as its only realy supportive class.
  12. Grenades from cyber tech got few variants of stunning/rooting/etc effects + damage. But as healer I have no real use of them (PvE wise) .. none of them supports my role. Could use some support based granade. Some examples : - Stright healing - Healing cloud (heals while standing in it) - Damage protection (bouble or damage reduction on friends in area) - Speed buff - Friendly knockback (?.. that would be fun =P ) - object you might place, which works like jump platform in Huttball ...etc. Dont tell me, I should drop proffesion, bacause its purely PvP/DPS based =(
  13. People like you destroy good name of PvE..
  14. "Didnt get invited" ? AFAIK you just had to apply for copy with your group and you get your char coppied. And Im not supprised that feedback of someone who actualy tested things is more valuable, than simple "what people think" after reading patch notes.
  15. You mean this ? - Players can now remove Armoring modifications from items with set bonuses and transfer those set bonuses to Custom (orange) items. These modifications can only be transferred to an item that is equipped in the same slot.
