  1. I know that in that other game with humans vs. something green the players of the green side often say that they are actually the good guys in the story. Does anyone feel that way about the Empire and/or their characters in SWTOR? Personally i could never get past the thoughtless cruelty of the missions, such as persecuting the Evocii on Hutta and working against the "terrorists" aka Freedom fighters on Balmorra. Not to mention the casual racism, just replace the word "alien" with a real world ethnic minority and youll see that the Imps attitude is quite shocking. Admittedly i never got past Hutta before the 12XP boost came and allowed me to skip all the unpleasantness. With 12XP i can handle dipping a toe into being incredibly horrible but i could never do it for long, so my main will always be Republic side. This got me wondering about the players who stay on Imperial side for months or years. Are people reveling in the wickedness or do you see it differently somehow? Anyhow id love to hear other opinions and a bit of back and forth on this. Cheers. <spoilers welcome>
  2. How was he better? Did you have the same gear for the two of them? We're you doing AOE with Force quake or just using TK throw and project? I'd like to find a way to use him and not feel like I'm making things harder than they need to be
  3. Try Qyzen in Dps mode. I can't imagIne fights being much faster than he and I do them, unless you are 1 or 2 shorting the mobs. So far my only complaint is that I'm bored of Qyzen and none of the other companions can hold a candle to him
  4. Ive only played a Sage healer past lvl 10 but i find it to be really easy. In a way its easier than playing a DPS class because you can let your companipn do alot of the killing. Just focus on healing mostly
  5. Im a full Healer specced Sage, lvl 41, and ive been looking forward to a new companion for a LONG time, as Qyzen was getting long in the tooth as well as having being boring and non-talking right off. Zenith was no good because he doesnt have any taunts and his long chargetime on that main shot he does is too long so DPS is wasted on low health targets. So when i saw Iresso has a taunt i was overjoyed. Immediately i gave him all of Qyzens gear and put him in his DPS mode, just as i alwyas had Qyzen in. The gear has all End and Aim, with a bit of Power, Techpower and crit. An example would be the RD-15B Commando helmet from Hoth Commendations. Ive now used both companions on the starting mobs on Belsavis and it seems that Iresso needs serious healing all the time, wheras Qyzen continues to hardy need much more than the Shield and Regen spells cast on him at the start and end of each pull respectively. What i normally do is sned the shilded companion in while casting Mind Crush on his target, then waiting a second and casting Force Quake on the group. This damges and disrupts them enough that Qyzen finishes them off before they get a chance to hurt him too much and 90% of the time he holds agg too. With Iresso its a different story, it takes longer to kill then to start with, maybe because he lacks AOE or is his starting weapon really weak compared to Qyzens Orange Techblade from 2 planets ago? He takes alot more damage too, im not sure if this is because the enemies live longer, but it feels like hes taking damage faster right from the start. I dont know what to think. What are your expereinces with Iresso?
  6. Consular Male 10/10 It blows my mind that people don't think this is good! He is so calm, confident and arrogant in an unassuming and benevolent way. I love how he comes across as nothing fazes him or causes him to doubt that his way ( the Jedi way) is the best way. I love how even in the face of overwhelming danger he calmly assures the weak and defenseless that they should not be afraid, that they are safe now, he will protect them. The idea that he could fail to do so or that he is in any danger himself, never seems to occur to him and he's so confident about it that it makes others believe it too. Honestly the Consular voice is what hooked me on this game. It's why I can't seem to settle on any class as an Alt, none of them have that special epicness that Nolan North gives to a LS Consular.
  7. So like, 200 views and no response? I take i what im saying is right then.
  8. Am i not getting something or is the LFG window actually worse now? Before i used to be able to type LFG into the panel and see a list of all players flagged as LFG. Now if i type that it shows no results. Instead i can do a search with no parameters and it shows the top 100 results, of whom i can see who is flagged LFG. How do i know that player 101 isnt LFG for exactly what i needed but isnt being displayed? Is there some improvement /feature added to this system that i am not seeing/understanding?
  9. During Act 1 of the Consular story it comes up that a certain Padawan is the daughter of a certain Master. No one really seems to comment much on it but isnt it unusual that a Jedi would have a child at all? I know from early Jedi missions that love/romance is forbidden to them so how do you end up with Jedi who have kids? Is there some kind of Force Sensitive Master Race breeding program??
  10. ive been saving up Commendations with the idea that i will spend them to gear up my Companion, while using Flashpoint drops to gear my own character. On the few planets ive been to though it seems like there isnt really much you can buy them using Commendations. So far it seems that for Qyzen Fess i can get him bracers, boots, helm and an offhand item from the planetary Commendations. Im on nar Shaddaa btw. Unfortunately he cant use any of the weapons that the Comm vendors sell but thats an issue unique to him. Is this going to be the situation for the rest of the levelling experience? If so then where am i expected to get decent chest, leg and weapons for my companions?
  11. LOL well played. Still though, you have WoW and Guildwars for that.
  12. Irrelevant comment is not relevant. I want a PvE MMO with this style and depth of gameplay, just witohut PvP. Does that sound like Little Big Planet to you?
  13. I kinda hate the effect the PvP has on MMO games. It splits the player base and causes balance issues in which we PvE'ers end up being the ones that suffer. Thats why when EQ2 said it was PvE only i was really excited and bought it straight away. 1 month later they started introducing PvP... annoying. Why cant we PvE people have our own game for once?? Seriously just all go play MW3 or something if you want PvP.
  14. In the Developers video discussing the legacy system i saw a Wookie in a group. It wasnt a hostile, amybe it was a Companion. Does anyone know any more information about this?
