What wow is experiencing now you will have much sooner

I've recently replied to/bumped the original suggestion thread for exactly this idea (the one with the link in my sig.) The suggestion keeps coming up - so many people seem to want this and I have yet to hear a coherent argument against it (since those who don't want it don't have to use it if it is implemented!). So come on Bioware, gif toggle plox?!

Suggestion: Option to turn off experience gain
Kalthorine replied to SgtFrog's topic in Suggestion Box
There have been a number of other threads recently on the same topic, a lot of them re-directing attention to this particular suggestion thread. Given that there has been a lot of other people mentioning it, considering this is not a game-breaking bug (which I understand need most attention at the moment), for a gameplay enhancement suggestion alone this thread has managed to build to over 150 replies and over 6,500 views, and the majority of posters seem to be in favour of this in some form or another. So when you do get round to implementing some suggestions, Bioware, can I politely request that something like this be implemented sooner rather than later? So many people would find this incredibly useful... and it wouldn't hurt anyone else who wouldn't want to use it anyway. It really is a no-brainer to please a large portion of your player-base without giving cause to upset anyone else, so pretty please can you give us an xp toggle? -
Yup, as per the link in my signature. So come on Bioware, give us something that those who want it would love, and those who don't want it wouldn't be damaged or adversely affected at all by it being implemented (since they would simply choose not to use it). Please?

True, but if a security key makes it 99% secure instead of 90% secure isn't it worth it? Putting it another way, if your applied that logic to home security you would end up not bothering to shut your front door when you came home at night. After all, burglars can always get in through the window so even with the front door shut and locked no home is 100% secure, right? So no, no system can ever be 100% secure. But security keys make them considerably more secure, and that makes them worth having.

No need to keep the disk in once installed, no.

Suggestion: Option to turn off experience gain
Kalthorine replied to SgtFrog's topic in Suggestion Box
Me too - I know there are other high profile issues and bugs left to be sorted, but I would hope this wouldn't be too difficult to implement . As has been said numerous times before, those who want this would benefit hugely from it... and it wouldn't hurt those who don't! -
Why would anyone want to fight against NPC in 2012?
Kalthorine replied to ntoyzaster's topic in General Discussion
Hmmm... if this is true, my friend, somehow I doubt you need to worry about being required to do too many more dungeons and raids with your Guildmates -
An alternative response to those who answered the OP's question properly: "Well done, you weighed up the possibility (however small) that the original poster was making a serious enquiry, and decided that assuming he was and posting a proper answer was the nice thing to do - rather than taking a cynical, sarcastic and selfish approach and posting something snarky just to compensate for any sense of low self-esteem you may be suffering from."

How do I unbind the \ key from opening reporting tool?
Kalthorine replied to Tumba's topic in New Player Help
This has been asked before - unfortunately, the "\" key (the one that opens the customer help interface) cannot be unbound or remapped. Good job it is so far away from the "Enter" key... oh, wait... -
Out with the old, in with the new (bugs)?

Just pray you never have cause to receive a holo from one of the Hutts *shudders* ... ...heads off to send a message to Master Satele Shan asking her to call back.. -
The mods are hurting this community more than helping

Up to four pages and not locked yet? Or perhaps after Patch 1.1 locked threads are respawning instantly and granting valor... -
Do not roll "Need" for companion gear.
Kalthorine replied to face_hindu's topic in General Discussion
No doubt, but at least: If someone rolls Need and is challenged why (if it is an odd choice of item for their class), and they answer "my companion needs it", then the rest of the group can tell straight away that they have a ninja on their hands! . At least if the Need option is greyed out for items not useable by the character rolling, the number of times this would happen would be dramatically decreased, even though it is next to impossible to stamp out completely. -
Do not roll "Need" for companion gear.
Kalthorine replied to face_hindu's topic in General Discussion
Right idea, but not done that way... since Greed trumps Companion then there would be no reason to pick the companion option - people would just greed (or keep picking need). A better version (in my opinion) would be one I suggested earlier in this thread, with loot rolls in the following order of priority: Need: But cannot be chosen unless your character can actually equip/use the item, otherwise the option would be greyed out . Companion Need . Greed . (Pass) Greying out the option to pick Need if your character can't equip it would stamp out ninja'ing for the most part. I think so anyway. -

"My ninja friend used to selfishly gear his companions... then he took an arrow to the Need" Sorry, couldn't resist...
