  2. Alas. Although BW have repeatedly said this would be the case, and that the set bonuses would only move across in new tier stuff, you still do it?
  3. Over here in Europe, the patch is on Thursday, it's still Tuesday. 2 days notice!
  4. *grabs popcorn* Awesome, let's rock.
  5. I don't get what you want to do here, you want to swap AC, so you want to faction transfer and change your AC to the other? You'd still have the problem of leaving your guild behind. What would be better is just a fully integrated sister guild system on the other faction so you can share guild chat and whatnot.
  6. I know this, but for the people who complain about immersion, what's immersin about the whole planet going dark at once?
  7. As mentioned, day. Night cycles over multiple planets would be cool, yet costly to code. Eah would have a different cycle. I never got the fact that in other games, where you have a whole world and the day night cycle is exactly the same for all zones. It goes dark at the same time everywhere in the world apparently. That is dumb. Doing that for all planets would be even more dumb.
  8. You know the side of star wars where people take a chance, gamble, hang around cantinas and generally give off that wild west vibe? Well, we are kinda missing this in this game in my opinion. You have the stories and whatnot, but there is no real sense of doing the sort of thing that star wars is kind of known for. That being gambling and doing things as part of a bet. Remember how Han got the millenium falcon, through winning a bet with Lando? How Qui Gon released Anakin by a pod race bet. It would be nice to have this sort of thing in game. What I am thinking is a system in game where you can do challenges, whether it be PvP or PvE and you put a wager down to say that you are going to do it with either an NPC or possibly another player. This can be either pure credits, or even better an item of yours. How I can see it working is like this. There is an NPC in the cantina, near the daily quest givers, or in fleet near the flashpoints, something like that. You pick up the quests as normal, and you then have the option to go to the guy. When you speak to the guy, he gives you three challenges, of different difficulty with escalated bets based on one of the daily quests. Let's say the quest is to kill 8 reps, the 3 options can be something like "Kill 8 reps within 45 seconds" "Kill 8 reps within 30 seconds" or "kill all 8 reps within 20 seconds" The guy, in the options, tells you what he wants you to wager for this bet. So the "easy" bet can be just credits, the "medium" bet can be something like consumables or mats that you have for crafting and "high stakes" bet can be your speeder, or your lightsaber, or something else iconic to your class like your blaster or something. If you lose the wager then you lose the credits, or the consumables, or quite possibly your lightsaber/speeder/whatever you had bet. If you win, then you get double the amount bet with credits, or mats or an upgrade to your gear that they put a bet on, like upgraded mods, or a better version of a speeder, or even a unique item that the guy can give to you. This could also go with PvP objectives, and well, pretty much anything really. Then you have player wagers. Easy enough to do nowadays with money and stuff, but why not be able to wager some BoP/legacy items, or even legacy rewards on certain things with other players for things like PvP and dailies? Lets say that you are in a group, you go to the NPC in the cantina who offers you a bet. That one of you can actually do a quest quicker than the other. Maybe a race or something. You can both then choose what you want from the other guy. Whether it is a species unlock, an item or just merely creds. Then you have the race, and whoever wins gets the item they requested. Granted, there would be huge scope for people to abuse this system, or complain a lot because of griefing/lag/being stuck somewhere, but checks and balances can be put in place, like a debuff which means you can only bet with the same person once every day or something, or only taking away your items for a limited time. Maybe even just nerfing your item for a set period, destroying it for an hour or something. There is plenty of scope there to change things around.
  9. Oh and another thing I was thinking about with this earlier. On top of watching things like Huttball on the TV, but actually having a Huttball season with playoffs and a grand final, where the game is hyped up big time in the cantinas and you all get to watch, gamble and socialise while watching it.
  10. I've even wanting this ever since announcement. Not only that but I want to be able to gamble on the outcomes with them like in kotor. Maybe they'll save this for arena though when they eventually implement that.
  11. More improvements to game performance, a couple of key features needed in all MMOs such as a revamped LFG tool (server only) bug fixes, a new flashpoint and operation and maybe a new WZ. Possibly some additions to legacy and new companion stuff, along with some new space missions guild tools like a guild emblem and more fun stuff for guilds to have. Any key features that fundamentally change the game, such as customisable ships, capital ships, guild ships, new zones, species, classes and storylines and more open world stuff hopefully will come in expansions.
  12. If classes were not mirrored, then people would be seriously annoyed because one class will always be better than the appropriate class on the other side. Blizz realised this within one expansion on WoW and basically made all classes the same across both factions with just slight animation tweaks, mainly because most people on the Alliance side were annoyed with the fact they couldn't be shamans, and most people on the horde side annoyed they couldn't be palas. Anything other than mirrored classes with the same abilities is too much hassle and creates too much animosity. As far as looks and style goes, well yes, I would like to see more diversity in the factions ethos and architecture etc. But with most planets actually being unique planets which are not created by either the sith or empire, but more warzones between them then they will look the same on both sides. After all a military bunker is a military bunker. The home planets are vastly different, the starter planets are also vastly different. The fleets are disappointing, but I can see why they are the same layout as well. Only so much you can do with a space station though I suppose to make it look different. Especially when you already have the basic look of a station already set in Canon.
